I personally thought that anyone would have been better than Craig. I just didn't like his way of portraying Bond at all. Firstly, he didn't really look the part - a James Bond with blond hair seemed weird to me, and also it didn't seem like he didn't do anything that Bond would do. It seemed like all his charm was all gone. He was way too cold, if you know what I mean. Also, he didn't make everything seem really easy, like most of the others did. I know maybe Casino Royale was trying to show an imperfect Bond, but that's not what I liked to see. To me the point of watching a Bond film is to see him do all of these impossible things that can't possibly happen in real life. That's what makes them fun to watch. If you take away some of the things that Bond is supposed to have, and make him look just like a regular person, what exactly is the point of that?

Anyway, that's just my opinion, if I may butt into this conversation!

Daniel Craig just looks like any normal member of the public walking in the street. Bond is supposed to be more than that.

Yup, the IMDb credits him as "The Professor". I had forgotten it too, it's been a while since I saw the first Bourne movie.

Bond to me doesn't have to be a superman to be interesting!

Connery and Moore tended to be larger than life many times, but Dalton was more human and still very Bondian!

But Bond should definitely have the classic look, have charisma and be comfortable wearing a tuxedo!

I have nothing agaisnt Daniel Craig but I didn't really think of him as James Bond in Casino Royale.

I sort of know what you mean. The fact that the refinement did not come until the ending with 'White' meant that Bond was not present for 90% of the film and the other 10% I had to dig deep and let my imagination wonder.

Hi Everybody, i am new to this forum, i don't think Craig is sutible at all as Bond completly miscast and i think the next film will be terrible.

Craig does not understand Bond be it cinematic or the written character.
He thinks the part is beneath him.

Sexual discrmination i shall have to pay it a visit!

Thank you for the welcome, i thought he looked wrong physicaly and i think it was mostly a refinement thing. The other bonds inparticular Brosnan had a weary charm and a charisma that made me believe he was a gentleman and a man of taste.

i have seen craig in only two other roles Tomb Raider and layer cake and he was wooden in both. In a nutshell Skywalker i guess i find him a little bland plus i he reminds me of Boris Becker.
