The discussion for members who are Anti-Craig & dsliked
Errr CR.
This a thread for all those members who disliked Casino Royale, and think Daniel Craig makes a poor James Bond.
It is not for reviews of Casino Royale.

They go there.
This is to discuss Daniel Craig and his first outing as OO7.
It is not intended to alienate the Pro-Craig members, but there should be an area for Anti-Craig members to discuss there displeasure of CR and Daniel Craig as James Bond.

I never liked the option of Craig making Casino Royale from the moment his name began to crop up in tabloids. The final product was a mish-mash of influences; most obviously Jason Bourne. Craig was far too old for a Bond origin/begins film. A youthful 37 year old could have done it but Craig looks too shopworn to be a rookie Agent. Ian Fleming would choke on his martini if he saw Craig play his refined creation.

I went for the amusement angle, but it's probably a good idea for us Anti-members to let loose without reposte.Captain Nash wrote:I'm getting deja-vu here.![]()
But I think each thread is fair enough in it's own way.
Now I'll leave you to it.
That said, I feel CR gave us the worst Bond film ever with a Blonde haired, ugly, sterois induced midget attempting to be Bond.

Wasn't that supposed to be the purpose of this entire forum? The pro-Craigers wouldn't allow it in the rest of the forum, what makes you think they'll allow it here?Skywalker wrote:I went for the amusement angle, but it's probably a good idea for us Anti-members to let loose without reposte.

I think the forum allows for cross concensous of opinion. I just opened this thread as a safe haven for the Alternative fan. I will not post in Nash's Pro-thread unless asked to do so.Kristatos wrote:Wasn't that supposed to be the purpose of this entire forum? No more than a totally Pro-Craig one without counter argument. You mention every thread bashes Craig. Well those same threads have vomit inducing kiss ass comments too.The Sweeney wrote:Considering the site we are on, where just about every thread bashes Craig, I have to say I find this particular one a bit pointless.....

How many pro Craig threads are there on here...? The one that Nash started is very much in the minority. But how many threads on here are started with the intent to bash Craig? Just about every single one.Skywalker wrote:No more than a totally Pro-Craig one without counter argument. You mention every thread bashes Craig. Who has posted most topic threads on this site? Might just be Nash. That said, I don't think Nash has been bashing Craig. The Sweeney wrote:How many pro Craig threads are there on here...? BTW I have not posted on Nash's thread as I feel it should be your own private Idaho. That one thread, where you can praise Craig to your hearts content.
As a slightly amusing thread, I started this one. Then I realised that even on this site there is probably not one thread that has not been tainted by Pro-Craigers. With that in mind. Pretty please with sugar on top don't post again on this f*cking thread.

Other than the un-required language, I have to agree with you there Skywalker.Skywalker wrote:

I know this thread was started in response to the bizarre and rather inflammatory pro-Craigers thread, but IMHO opinion both threads are not needed as the whole forum deals with the topics. Was the other thread started by a group of people as a joke to purposely annoy people who don't like Daniel Craig?
How odd. You would think that this forum was called DanielCraigisnotBond wouldn't you. How dare some people on a DanielCraigisnotBond forum opposed the the atrocious casting of Daniel Craig as James Bond and the bizzare changes to the James Bond movie series criticize the great Daniel Craig. How many pro Craig threads are there on here...? Craig polarized the Bond community. It is a love/hate relationship it seems, no middle ground. There are those, such as myself, that find Craig all wrong for the role. I personally look forward to his replacement, and it could not come soon enough. His brand of Bond is a stretch from the prior 40 year history. CR was, and will always be, an avant-garde Bond film to me, with Craig serving as nothing more than an Eon attempt to clone two other 'fairly' successful current spy entities, and brand it as their 'own' Bond.

Would you have enjoyed CR if Clive Owen had been cast as Bond, even if the film was in the same style?
