I was thinking about what kris had said earlier about some southerners not like Obama because of his skin color unforgivably that is true with a certain I hope small part of our population but among those people someone like Romney is probably as repulsive to them.
I kind of thought Obama was trying to tee that up as debate issue when he was talking about Jesus, trying say I worship Jesus this other guy Romney who does he worship? BUt after Obama decided to shotgun his reelection campaign by making all religious organisations support contraception and ru487 on demand in some manner I think he blew the chance of getting the faithful of america unquestioning support (the supposed insurance loophole is joke for a lot of reasons. )
I do think Romney has some trouble in the bible belt because of his religion, I would hope as a nation we would be much more accepting.
I think Santorum would be a good faith advocate in a Romney white house but not a good candidate. Weird where the Dem talking point that he or republicans in gernel want to outlaw contraceptives, and everyone in the news treats it like it is a serious thing that nobody had mention before a reporter moderating a debate

I don't think this issue will get much momentum just because most of the women in my life, the women I know in my generation and younger are not threatened by a 1950s maybe 1960s talking point that is crazy on the face of it. But this is limited to my world experience, admittedly maybe some women in NYC think it could be serious but then again as a people we have made contraceptive beside the morning after pill available freely and cheaply (another reason Obama religious mandate makes no sense), I don't know how many women will belive this scare tactic , the Womens rigth movement supported Bill Clintion blindly when they should have held him accountable so who knows.
