I'd say that label fits Paul McGann better.

It's a shame McGann only got one go in the role. I only saw the telvision film when it was first shown and can't remember whether it was good, bad or just average but I liked McGann.

It was decent. Their are some things to cringe at, however the new series used a lot from it as well as Sylvester McCoy's era. I can't really fault it or the production quality after JNT's era, although they should have left the theme alone. However it did give us a taste of what it would be like without Delia's touches.

I like McGann as the Doctor he had the right mix for the role. His first outing was a hit in the UK not so much in the US but then it was on FOX and they cancel everything that doesn't bring home X-file numbers. I am grateful they did because I think they would have screwed it up royally in the long term trying to churn out 23 shows a season.

Paul considers himself the Lazenby of Doctor Who. Who knows maybe he married a former tennis star as well ;)
Being very generous maybe Chris can be consider the Lzzenby because he walked off a paying job that would have continued for years.

Daniel could call it a match and walk away from Bond after the next film (when ever it happens). I can see some very good reasons for him to think it successful and walk away to pursue more art driven stuff nobody will watch. The Biggest reason for him to stay is the money, so far he hasn't earned it in anything else he has done.

I think it would have to take an act of catastrophically bad Bond film to make Craig walk away from the role. What with all the financial issues and Peter Morgan talking about a "shocking" plot twist it may be sooner than later.

Will Craig walk away if there is no sign of another Bond film for several years?

I think he'd like to do at least three even if he has to wait until 2012.

I suspect he'll want some clarity on the future situation before he made a decision like that.

John Drake wrote:What are the odds on Bond 23 being Daniel Craig's last film in the role? I think there must be a good chance because of (1) studio wrangles and problems (2) the modern Eon take forever to do anything (3) QoS was so dire the actor must be wondering how many more films like that he really wants on his CV. You could add (4) the fact that he might actually want to lay down some decent non-Bond work while he's still just about young enough and people still know who he is.
Number four might be the most appealing notion to Craig. He's made his fortune now so after Bond 23 he doesn't need to keep making Bond films just for the sake of it.

I can't imagine how much money EON is going to spend to keep Craig looking young.
