Looking forward to Spiderman 3 next weekend Sweeney? By all accounts, the buzz is it could top 1 billion worldwide. Does Bourne 3 interest you in August, to see if Damon's spy appeal has waned?

With former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry's album now selling over 2 million copies, would he be someone Broccoli would consider for singing the next Bond film theme? After all, Cornell has a similar style and sound as Daughtry.

I guess it's possible, but I can't see a former idol singer being signed to sing the next Bond title track.
There have been some odd choices in the past (Gladys Knight!) but all of the former Bond title artists have a history and track record.
But as always never say never.

Never heard of him BJ. Do you think the theme tunes have perhaps gone downhill since Goldeneye? I actually liked CC's theme tune, much better than TND, TWINE and DAD's theme songs IMO, but I'd like a return to the ballad style of the past.

With reference to American Idol we used to have a version called Pop Idol which I believe spawned the American Idol version. We now have a program called the X Factor which also stars Simon Cowell and gives unknowns a platform to perform.

Well for once I agree 100% that rap has no place in a Bond film.
Or anywhere else if it was upto me.
But singers like Tom Jones and McCartney never go out of fashion, there would be very few people who would mind if they returned to the Bond scene I'm sure.
