Hope you enjoyed it! I'm not sure what it is - being an Englishman - but I know it involves Turkey.
Bring back Bond!

Yes, Happy Thanksgiving to All, and Tiny Tim and Uncle Scrooge.

I've just cooked 9 birds tonight, for the feasty tomorrow. Made with the Bond recipe, of course: very low temp, none of that plastic bag c***! (btw, Cmdr 0077 was offered a chef's mission by the owner of a famous restaurant when she tasted the Bond Turkey two years ago. At first I thought she was just being nice, but then her friend said, She's serious. And she repeated the offer. She said it was the best she ever tasted. One of my regrets is that Bond has never been shown in action in the kitchen, with the exception of TLD, I think  It's alluded that 007 is a great cook, which as we all know is one way to a woman's heart.)

I am thankful for this splendid site -- for one thing, I get to use words like splendid. It is a bastion of wisdom and intelligence, far far superior to the other sites.
You move very well for a dead man, Mr Bond

Yup, that's about it. It commemorates when the first European settlers arrived in North America and the Native Americans showed them how to survive their first winter. The Europeans then "gave thanks" by murdering the Native Americans and stealing all their land. But you don't see that bit in the Thanksgiving pageants etc.

Yeah..the dark side of Thanksgiving :(

The worst thing is, we *still* don't treat them very well. There are a lot of Native Americans living in poverty on reservations. To be legal here, casinos have to be on reservations, and on the way to at least one of the casinos, you pass by what can only be called third world style living. [/soapbox]

My fault skywalker. i resurrected an old thread instead of making a new one. Not such a good idea as it turns out.

I found it pretty amusing. I don't normally make mistakes like that (well not very often anyway).
