Milton Krests Death in Licence to Kill

Does anyone feel sorry for Milton Krest when he is killed in Licence to Kill?
I do, it is testament to the actor that despite being a complete scumbag you feel sympathy for him when he is killed in a rather nasty fashion

Did anyone else feel the same about this character?

I honestly didn't feel anything for the character. He wasn't very developed. He was just drunk and dumbfounded most of the time.
