Should Bond have chest hair?

Post by Capt. Sir Dominic Flandry »

I think that Bond should have chest hair. That's one of my main complaints about Mr.Craig - Bond would not spend hours in a beauty parlour having a body wax and hours in a gym working out.

And they called Brosnan a metrosexual.

That's a good point. Did Fleming's Bond shave his chest and put fake tan on?

One of your complaints about Craig is his lack of chest hair.
So Lazenby, Moore, Dalton and even Brosnan are all not suitable Bonds for ya then Dom?
The word ridiculous springs to mind.

If I recall in Goldeneye, Brosnan had chest hair in the swimming scene. But I agree about Bond (not) spending hours in a gym. Of course, Sean Connery was a bodybuilder in his early years. But as Bond, he didn't look like he had hit a gym much. (which is a good thing).

Where does the film imply that Craig's Bond waxes? :? I suppose Lazenby, Moore and Dalton fail as well when it comes to Bond. Are you all running out of straws?

We've had a Bond without chest hair for 24 years at best and I don't remember anyone complaining. Besides, chesthair doesn't even make a Bond better. Look at Brosnan, is he in the ranks of Connery?

Anybody want straws?

HEAD HAIR

Post by AMERIBOND »

I think head hair is required. Black or dark brown naturally, according to Fleming. Chest hair, ear hair or back hair is optional. I would think nose hair and mole hair need to be gone. All colors need to match. Just my view. But I could be wrong.

Well nose hair is a given.
Get rid of it. It has to be one of the most annoying things ever.

I think Sir Dominic is right. Cubby favourite - and babysitter of some dopey young woman called Barbara - Michael Billington has the Bond hairy chest look.

I'm not a craig supporter but the chest hair thing is a non-issue for me. Its just one of the things the other actors had. Its like how Connery and Lazenby both wore hats in the ealier films and the others didn't. I don't think chest hair is what people go and look for when they see James Bond
