Next James Bond Game Could Be Called Bloodstone

It has been well over a year since the last James Bond game, Quantum of Solace. You can’t keep a good agent down for too long, however, and it looks like a recent listing on UK video game dealer HMV has revealed the title of the next entry (which we spotted unnamed here) in this long-running series.

There is very little information on this game so far. The title is James Bond: Bloodstone, will be developed by Bizarre Creations, and it looks like it will release for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii. Apparently there was a rumor of a James Bond racing game (think Quantum of Solace plus Mario Kart) way back in 2007, but not much surfaced on that idea. However, considering Bizarre Creations is known for its Project Gotham Racing series, a Bond action racing game from this team might just work out after all. Let us know what you think should be in a Bond racing game in the comments below, and stay tuned for more on this as it develops.

Mysteriously gone now...
[Update] By the time you read this article, the listing will have already disappeared from the HMV site. Whether this means the title is wrong or the game does not even exist is unknown at this time.

Rumor: Activision Shelves Bond Game for More Call of Duty
Reports have come in that Wolfenstein developer Raven Software will be making map packs for Black Ops.

By Frank Cifaldi, 05/13/2010

Activision may have canceled its new James Bond game in favor of additional Call of Duty content, according to reports.

Speaking to "multiple sources familiar with the situation," G4 reports that Raven Software has been told to put its new Bond game on hold and instead develop map packs for Treyarch's upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops.

According to the report, this should not affect the development of Singularity, which is being made by a separate team within Raven. Instead, it is the team behind last year's Wolfenstein that is being tasked with Call of Duty development.
