BJ will probably have to go for something that doesn't reference Bounre. I have a feeling EON is going to jettison the Bourne influence by Bond 23, given that was one of the major critisisms.

Yup.Definitely something *not* Bourne related..and as much as people don't want to admit it, there *was* a Bourne influence in QOS,though I don't think it was egregious as it could have been.

CR was Craig's first Bond film, from an original Fleming work. TBM was their first attempt to mimic Greengrass' masterpiece. IF Eon tries a second film with Damon's character as the muse, it shall then be referred to as......: YOU ONLY BOURNE TWICE

QOS was so unmemorable that I find it hard to be sure of anything, but ISTR Felix tipping off Bond that the CIA was after him.

And Bond was doing Emo back when his wife got shot.

One scene of Lazerbeam woodenly intoning "it's-all-right-it's-quite-all-right-we-have-all-the-time-in-the-world-exterminate-exterminate" and the occasional reference in DAF to Bond's hunt for Blofeld being personal is not quite the same as a whole film's worth of Bond agonizing over the death of Vesper.

Craig's first entry in the true Bourne mode was his second film, copying the style of Damon's TBU. His next film, if done, will be his second into that mold. If the first 2 are considered true Bourne mode, then 2 was his limit and a third should not be done. Therefore, it works both ways. Either 2 WAS the limit or 2 WILL be the limit.
