Did you find Bond's death disappointing?

Post by wintandkiddfarout »

I have never seen No Time To Die, but I've heard that its ending has divided Bond fans. There are some who really like it as a twist finale to the Craig era and those disappointed that the reboot wasn't allowed to carry on with a new actor.

I can see why there are fans who feel that way. I can imagine if Bond had lived and the next actor stepped into the continuity. Think about how vastly different the Bond films after that would have felt. Bond as a family man, with a daughter, but still feels it his duty to go on missions from time to time.
His daughter Mathilde, unaware of her father's seductions of women during his jobs, admiring her father because "My daddy protects the world we live in."
As for Madeleine, his wife, picture her at the end of each Bond movie meeting her husband at the door with a look that says, "I know you get up to mischief during your investigations, but I choose to welcome you back home, ask no questions and love you anyway."
