Yes...it is law in the UK that Brits have to go and see a new Bond film when it comes out......but if the film is no good, you don't have to see it again! :)

Actually, since 1995 Bond has become popular again in the UK......each film outdoing the previous one at the BO, well upto 2008's QOS, which although having a huge opening, soon plummeted, due to poor word of mouth.

I remember in 1989 though, when Bond was flagging around the world.........LTK was only the 6th biggest hit of the year at the UK box office...and even beaten by the then latest Naked Gun film!

All countries around the world have their favourite movie icons which fit in with their cultures.......ie in America, people like their comic book heroes!

I don't understand why people in this forum, expect this movie to fail.

It'll be anything, but a failure.

I don't think any one here thinks it will flop outright the best that could happen from our pov is a lesser bo total but if it doesn't make at least $800 million it will be a flop where the studio is concerned

Henry Blofeld is a cricket commentator; Ian Fleming was at school with his father and that is where he got the Blofeld name from. On Henry Blofeld's twitter (https://twitter.com/blowersh) today he said: "I have just seen the new Bond film & I felt catastrophically let down by latest incarnation of the late Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Shameful!!!"
Bring back Bond!

No it isn't and I'm sure as hell not watching an ungrateful actor who would rather kill himself than be this character (who he's never been since he started anyway).

In more disgusting & insulting news: http://www.ew.com/article/2015/11/01/sp ... ening-ever

Again beep My country beep it to hell, glad I didn't contribute to this shite, wow so it just goes to show you if you don't look the part, would rather kill yourself and pretty much gave your fans the middle finger they'll come back in droves, craig must be laughing all the way to the beeping bank, beep this whole franchise and it's fans that defend and watch this tripe honestly.

Fbf: wherever you are I agree 1000% with you this isn't james bond, this is chav bond and I'm glad I'm not a part of this farce. :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :007:
Bond....James bond....Rest in peace (1964-2002)

The word I see used most often on social media to describe this film is "underwhelming". The Craigskis don't like it because it's too much like a Bond film, and the Classic Bond fans don't like it because of the whole toilet training thing (to steal a line from BJ). I know social media comments don't always reflect real world behaviour, but I wouldn't be surprised if this film doesn't have the legs that Skyfall or CR did.

I'd not read a review prior to watching the film and hadn't prior to writing my own review and underwhelming' was the word I used to best describe the film.

sky walker hasn't been around much but he did like skyfall and posted a review about it. I thought we hadn't heard from him because bj and fbf captured him to deprogrammed him ;)

Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in a statement released to MailOnline: 'We're so grateful to all our James Bond fans and the British public for making Spectre's debut in the UK box office history!'---------dailymail posters: Joss, Northampton, United Kingdom, 9 minutes ago: The hype and ramping of the movie is solely responsible for the record at the box office. 2hrs 20 mins odd of Spectre sadly just not good enough on the story line. Far too long too and disappointing! Bourne storylines are just so much better. Eon need to employ better writers!----------knits, LONDON, United Kingdom, about an hour ago: the film is absolute crap.------------mandy77, bristol, United Kingdom, about an hour ago: Crap-------------null, about an hour ago: I like Sam theme... Rubbish plot though

I know how you feel (and as a brit). I was never a flag waving, card carrying supporter of the Brosnan era, but I still went to the first showing (not the Royal Premiere) of each film, from TND on. Now though, it might as well be a Star Wars film for my total lack of interested in the on-going era.
