Yes...it is law in the UK that Brits have to go and see a new Bond film when it comes out......but if the film is no good, you don't have to see it again!Omega wrote:is it a law ever uk citizen must buy a ticket?bjmdds wrote:The latest James Bond film released in six territories so far where it has taken in $80.4 million, which includes record-breaking numbers in the UK where it opened to an estimated £41.7 million ($63.8 million USD) in its first seven days of release. Actually, since 1995 Bond has become popular again in the UK......each film outdoing the previous one at the BO, well upto 2008's QOS, which although having a huge opening, soon plummeted, due to poor word of mouth.
I remember in 1989 though, when Bond was flagging around the world.........LTK was only the 6th biggest hit of the year at the UK box office...and even beaten by the then latest Naked Gun film!
All countries around the world have their favourite movie icons which fit in with their cultures.......ie in America, people like their comic book heroes!
