The Paramount sequel earned a strong $29.4 million in its second week in theaters, pushing its domestic total to $108.7 million. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation soared to #1 overseas again this weekend adding $65.5 million (+1%) from 58 territories. The fifth film in the MI franchise has grossed $156.7 million overseas and $265.35 million worldwide after two weekends of release.
IMO fantastic four was never a good idea to reboot . Unless it was being tied in to marvels current universe like spidy.
I don't think the black human torch is a factor either , it s a hard premise to sell with out the marvel universe be hind it.
The xmen are better off in their own universe so they may be the exception .
I never got what the fantastic four were supposed to be about and I didn't hate the old movies. I think there was another fantastic four movie in the 1990s shot but never released so the studios could keep the rights. Poor actors were tricked to work for next to nothing promised the sequels would be big. Sequels they never intended to make . Or to release the movie that was shot .
