I mentioned this very issue here yesterday......now, it's national :!: ------An Alabama movie theater has decided to pull its scheduled screenings of Disney's live-action "Beauty and the Beast" remake because of the film's inclusion of a "homosexual character." "For those that do not know 'Beauty and the Beast' is 'premiering' their first homosexual character. The producer also says at the end of the movie 'there will be a surprise for same-sex couples.' If we cannot take our 11 year old grand daughter and 8 year old grandson to see a movie we have no business watching it," a staff member for the Henagar Drive-In Theatre posted on Facebook on Friday. The controversial scene in question occurs at the very end of the film when LeFou, the sidekick of villainous Gaston, changes partners and finds himself happily dancing with another young man. It's only a brief moment, and might not even be noticed by many viewers. (At various points in the film, LeFou does seem to be harboring a crush on Gaston -- but that's certainly not overstated.) The film's director, Bill Condon, has said that he chose to make the character of LeFou, played by Josh Gad, gay because the original animated film's late lyricist Howard Ashman saw the Beast's ostracism as an AIDS metaphor. "He was cursed, and this curse had brought sorrow on all those people who loved him, and maybe there was a chance for a miracle and a way for the curse to be lifted," Condon told Attitude magazine earlier this year. :hair: :hair: :hair: :hair: ABC is airing a 4 part LGBTQ mini-series this week. It's a stand alone ORIGINAL production, as it should be, and guess what my fellow friends here? It BOMBED HUGE in the ratings :!: Why? People do NOT care about this issue and want to be left alone already and only 3% of the USA population is gay, which translates into 97% being heterosexual, yet Hollywood refuses to get the fact that it won't sell economically in their productions :!: FACT :!: Even Andy Garfield The Cat suggested that his Spiderman should be gay too. He was fired from the role as a horrible casting, as I predicted that as well, from day one. The progressive movement in America has become our cultural war and I am telling you, POINT BLANK, they will LOSE, because people here are fed up with what is going on. Broccoli is closely watching this issue most intensely too :!: I know what she wants HER Bond to do.

These ads are now appearing all over the internet and are stopping people from copying and pasting things too :!: :hair: I don't understand how websites allow this. Don't say they have no control over any content on their own websites. That's ludicrous. Websites should demand these e-disturbing ads be removed or else choose another service as their platform..................ECH-TRE was just on EPIX again. I cannot believe Broccoli allowed this storyline to proceed :!: :cuss: Cr-egg walks very oddly as well. I've owned racehorses in the past and can tell if their stride is well defined or off, and Cr-egg's walking is quite odd for a human male entity. Everything is off about him :!:

Some of my car sites there are so many ads I can't log in if it weren't for tapatalk I couldn't post at all.
Some places get paid to place ads they get to chose, the companies that sell ads the placement is not up to those selling the space, usually cookies determine what you see but since I switched to tapatalk I don't see ads, don't see birthday alerts or other Info not in the signature.

I have to delete the top and bottom black colored ads on this forum EVERY time I log in here now or else I cannot type anything :!: ----------------- Shelley Winters had a brassy personality and liked to kiss and tell about her romantic trysts with Marlon Brando and Sean Connery, whom she claims to have made love to on a train all the way from Liverpool to London. Image

Because I'm rather lazy. And also it's hard to scan 1500 pages, what is the general consensus on who should replace Craig?

Tom Hiddleston
Henry Cavill
Idris Elba
Tom Hardy
Aidan Turner
Or someone not mentioned above...

I'd say Turner is currently the most popular choice, though of course, as with any forum, different people will have different views.

Turner certainly has the looks, and is a decent age to become James Bond. But does he have the overall appeal that Bond needs? Few of the actors mentioned really have huge general appeal. Tom Hardy maybe, but he's to thug like to be Bond.
Do we want DC mk:2 :hair:
Of all that have been mentioned (only on the list above), Turner and Hiddleston would be my pick. What about a more out there candidate...Matthew Goode perhaps. If the producers could find another Pierce Brosnan, then they'd be on a winner.

I'm not sure what you mean by "general appeal". His shirtless scenes in Poldark certainly seem to have made him very poular with the Ladeez. I'd say he is in the same place that Roger and Pierce were when they took on the role - a star on TV and with the odd minor film role (The Hobbit) under his belt.

By general appeal I mean, an actor who is popular with both men and women. A mass audience. So far in the series, I believe only Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan have delivered on this.
The kind of man, men want to be, and women want to be with.
I'm not so sure any of the potential candidates for the next Bond have that appeal.

Well, Bond fandom is pretty male-dominated, and Turner is a popular choice. He has also been in genre stuff like The Hobbit and Being Human, whose fanbase tends to skew male. So I don't think he has a "guy problem", if that's what you're implying. And as I said, he definitely appeals to women. So it's a win-win.

Bond fandom is predominantly male oriented, however I'm referring to the mass, general movie audience. The people that actually make a movie a success or not. Sadly we as Bond fans contribute very little to the overall gross of the films. And even less to the direction they take. If anyone from EON actually read any of the fan sites, they certainly don't take any notice.
As for Turner, he does have a Bond look. Either him or Hiddles will be fine with me. Just re-cast already.

Sorry for the double post, is there a topic for ranking the Bond series?
I've had a glance at several areas, but can't see anything.

After the success of Daniel Craig, even though he is a weird choice, I think the cinemagoers will take anyone as James Bond.

Bond, James Bond: Nobody else comes close now: He is better than Jackman or Cavill would ever have been :!: Image Image ImageImage

If he was the next bond- I would watch the film at least 500 times because he is so perfect

John Doe8 months ago
How can anyone consider "Loki" to be Bond when Aidan is available, he would be a great choice for 007
+THELIONGUY1981 Hopefully Barbara will see it too. This guy is handed to her on a silver plate, he's Bond perfection defined.
