Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is among the top nominees for the 37th annual Golden Raspberry Awards, aka the Razzies, which spotlight the worst in film every year. Calling the movie a “WTF comic-book battle royale,” Razzie organizers said the Ben Affleck–Henry Cavill film landed a total of eight nominations, including worst picture of 2016, where it will vie with Dirty Grandpa, Gods of Egypt, Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party, Independence Day: Resurgence, and Zoolander No. 2 for the honor. Both Batman v Superman and Zoolander No. 2 also are nominated for worst remake, ripoff, or sequel. In addition, Affleck — who in 2015 won the “Razzie Redeemer” prize for making the transition from the critically drubbed Gigli to Oscar winner Argo and acclaimed Gone Girl — and Cavill are both up for "worst actor and worst screen combo". The film also is nominated for worst screenplay and worst director for Zack Snyder  .............I called this from the inception of this film once Affl-uck was hired as Batman! Only people here like ALE deemed it a huge hit, and were totally wrong. Affl-uck will ruin this entire franchise and this Wonder Woman spinoff will only get ticket sales from those Soros losers who marched on Washington DC this past weekend as they bring their daughters and grand-daughters to indoctrinate them into their mindset! Maybe Madonna and ASS-hley Judd can hand out food in the theaters for this film. By the way, the ONLY reason the Hillary film is on this list is the further denial by the morons in Hollywood that she lost, FAIR AND SQUARE, because the film was biographical, and they cannot handle the truth :!: NBC's SNL is now in the doghouse too after their writer humiliated herself with a horrible tweet about Trump's son! Hollywood is bankrupt of morals and integrity and they will further embarrass themselves OSCAR night, mark my words! This is cultural war now folks, so get ready for the battle! :fight: Image

The title for “Star Wars: Episode VIII” has finally been revealed. Disney annouced on Monday that the next chapter in the space opera saga will be named “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” ----------with Fisher gone, this film might top $1 billion in the USA alone :!:

Both the Razzies and the Oscar no longer make any sense. This movie should've gotten a Razzie Worst Picture nomination.

It wasn't a hit so it simply wasn't on the radar.

Yeah, the Razzies tend to go to the movie that attracted the most Internet hate, so BvS will probably sweep the board. I'm kind of hoping that doesn't happen, simply because it would be so predictable.

Razzies are about taking the piss out of the Hollywood big shots. BVS will probably win just to take affleck down a notch

Indeed. I doubt you or I will see any of the benefits of this supposed economic boom. They've been telling us that the economy is booming for years now, but it certainly doesn’t feel like it.

I'm crawling along, banks won't loan money (too risky to loan money to somebody who needs a loan), stock brokers and other banks get interest free money, any saving I have gets less than1% interest. The very little I have in ira has a small boon because of the market, but not enough to amount to anything. The debt from school is slowly strangling me.

I'd like trump to tax the hedge funds guys and offer refinancing at low rates to real people. Love to bundle the student loans, or hell just forgive them

I saw a story saying that she had died from a fairly reputable source. Total Film, I think it was.

Trump stated he wanted hedge fund guys taxed at standard tax rates, not capital gains rate. Student loans must be paid back big O, by everyone who has them. It took me 10 years to repay my student loans. Colleges have ripped off students for too long with increasing tuitions every time Congress increased the loans. The tuitions MUST be reduced to a more manageable level. It is not cost-effective with many majors in colleges to get a return on one's investment. Colleges are also nothing more than L.I.C.s, Liberal Indoctrination Centers now as well :!:

I'm of two minds on student loans. Part that pisses me off is they are essentially government funding universities on the backs of people with no money. Also it's hard to refinance or bundle these loans.
But it's one more Siphon of resources away from people just starting out with worthless diplomas

They are worthless diplomas O :!: The cost is ridiculous for what the return is, ESPECIALLY a major in the humanities, for which jobs are non-existent. My friend's niece borrowed $200,000 in loans to go to NYU undergrad as a communications major. She got a job with HBO through a connection, then moved last year to California to work, but the loans she will pay back are ridiculous!

Mike Connors, best known for playing detective Joe Mannix on 1960s and ’70s show “Mannix,” died Thursday in Tarzana, Calif. He was 91.

He had been diagnosed a week ago with leukemia, according to his son-in-law Mike Condon.
