17 suggestions for how to really reboot 007

Look at no.13!  I simply can not believe someone called Daniel Craig a dapper,Cary Grant-handsome ladies man! Can't stop laughing! as for all these "ideas" it just shows how utterly bored people are at this point with the franchise.

To FBF's point about Barbara doing her best to keep Craig-she might try,but the situation is vastly different now. Craig isn't a poor underdog anymore, who expirienced backlash from media and pretty much everyone and neither is he the "best Bond since Connery who saved the franchise". Now he just comes off as an ungrateful fool who is only doing it for the money.

"and since Gugu Mbatha-Raw was born during Roger Moore’s era, the film could milk some delicious irony from Moore’s less-than-progressive stance on who’s allowed to play Bond."

The series needs a new creative team that actually gives a d@mn about classic Bond, not any of these so-called "progressive" ideas listed. Just glancing through the comments, I saw that this site was mentioned and how we are stupid for speaking out against Craig's looks. With "fans" like these, I'm slowly losing hope for the future of the Bond series.

Given the level of stupid in the actual article, do I really want to read the comments?

The first several comments are mostly concerned with the Brosnan era, particularly how awful Die Another Day is because that hasn't been discussed to death already. But then I saw this comment: "I remember when Craig was cast and part of the internet exploded because he had blond hair and blue eyes which Bond isn't traditionally supposed to have ... nearly 10 years later and my head still hurts from how stupid caring about that was". This was followed by a response of how this site still exists.

So yes, apparently we are all stupid to care about who plays Bond, because anything goes in todays "progressive" world.

These people can go on and on how DAD was awful but that still won't change the fact that after last "Brofeld" chapter people are making hilarious articles like these and are saying there should be more drastical changes.

If all was well we wouldn't be reading about Kristen Bella Swann Stewart as queer Bond...because that makes sense. A person who thinks that the fact Craig has blonde hair and blue eyes was the only problem probably never saw any of the previous Bond actors(how in hell did that person manage that is another mystery).

First of all, having blue eyes isn't even a problem since three of the previous five Bond actors were blue-eyed and literary Bond is blue-eyed as well.
There are many other reasons why people were(or are) displeased about Craig being Bond but that has been discussed to death as well.

Even though she is part of the 007 franchise, Naomie Harris admits she has equally been drawn into speculation about who will be Bond in the next film, though producers have insisted to her they are not even thinking about the project yet. She said: "I love Barbara Broccoli and Stephanie [Wenborn] and the Eon team and obviously Michael Wilson. I met them recently and said, 'What's going on guys? Because everybody keeps asking me.' I was believing the hype. I was like, 'Is it Tom Hiddleston? What's going on?' They were like, 'Naomie, nothing is happening.' Because they're doing another film at the moment. They were like, 'We are focusing on this film. We have nothing to do with that.' "

Cheatsheet.com: 'Sony is ascribing a value to Craig that’s actually just a product of 007’s growing popularity as a whole, almost entirely independent of the man playing the role................. it’s been a decade since Craig first took on the role, and it’s more than time for a change'.

Maybe Craig wants to be the longest-serving Bond, but without the effort of actually making movies.

I'm afraid Craig isn't going anywhere anytime soon. First is Babzy, even looking beyond her sickening moonstruck school girl crush on the man she can't let go of him because she'd be out of her depth when it comes to recasting the role and she knows it. I mean she totally cocked up Brosnan's replacement, it was just sheer luck the public took to Craig after CR, chalk that up to having an actual Fleming story to pin their frame work on, can you imagine if they came out the gate with any of the other 3 films? Add to that the fact Hollywood is creatively bankrupt, just look at the spate of remakes, reboots, retreads and regurgitations coming down the pike as proof. While it makes creative sense to recast, it's easier to just plod along with Craig and collect the easy buck.

I think there are other people out there who may advise Barbara to re-cast the role because people right now are just bored with Craig. People might have called it refreshing back in 2006 but now it's just stale. Plus there's the whole "slashing wrists and doing it only for the money" public fiasco which didn't do Craig any favors.

There's also the whole issue of continuing that dismal thing they called a "story" from the last movie. If Craig comes back will they just ignore it? But how, since they were so d**n consistent in making everything connected(which made no sense AT ALL).

They were grasping at straws to make something of that movie and it won't be any easier next time if Craig comes back around. I would argue it would actually make everything easier if they recasted the role not to mention that the public would be more interested.

I wouldn't expect from Barbara to make a really great Bond movie(you could argue she never did ever since she took over the franchise after her father passing) but at this point I would be perfectly happy with a simply satisfactory one.

I'm right there with you V, you make absolute sense, the problem is you are applying sense where none exists. Remember the Sony leaks? The studio was perfectly OK with Brofeld so story means nothing to them and as much as we like to point out how SP made less than SF it still made in money! Yes, compared to it's budget it was a loser, but all that means is the studio will clip Babzy's purse strings next time they don't blame Craig. If Craig were being replaced the search would already be on, Babz would not be producing plays with him in London. Craig is already repositioning himself with statements regarding how much he would miss Bond (of course since he wouldn't ever make a pay day like that again). In short what I'm trying to say is I'm not holding my breath for a new Bond and I won't believe he's gone till I hear it myself from Babz pursed lips!

Cr-egg will be the first and only 60 year old Bond for Broccoli.
