Re: SPECTRE box office
It's almost disappeared from existence in the media and box office charts over the holiday season.
Re: SPECTRE box office
Correction to my previous post: it was in the Friday daily chart, playing on 385 screens.

No, that's 331 theaters, a 10% drop from the previous week. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/ Spotlight and Brooklyn each might DOUBLE ECH-TRE's 9th weekend box office totals in the USA. They each topped it weekend 8 and now 9 as well

Re: SPECTRE box office
Spectre's still there hanging on BO wise, Worldwide total is now upto an estimated $864.8 mil, so its made nearly $15 mil since the Xmas weekend.
I presume a fair percentage of this would be coming from Japan now, as the other International grosses must be quite small now.
Film is a tad under $198 mil in North America. Its going to be hard to reach that $200 mil figure, but the studio will really want this, as $200 mil looks so much better on the books than $199 mil. Overall though BO wise and admission wise, film was a big disappointment in N.America.
Anyway, on a more positive note, film just needs to earn another two hundred grand plus, and i've won the BO competition, and i will be looking to collect my prize!

Re: SPECTRE box office
Yeah, Superman Returns made just under $200 million domestically, and was considered a flop. A couple of million more, and it could have been painted as a success.

SPECTRE box office
I think they'd like to say SP broke $200 million. But if it only did $400 million worldwide like SR I doubt they'd bother trying to make a pr talking point.
I don't think the entertainment reporters have the time of day for bond right now. If it breaks $200 they have to say it's under the last film, and if it's not the Star Wars phenomenon I don't think they care.
But the studio might be happy making a big deal over small potatoes. Even though nobody official will talk about QOS any more when it is mention they talk about how financially rewarding it was . Even though it finished in the red.

Infact, i got my maths wrong recently, as at the time i didn't realize i had won, not that it means anything anyways...........as i seem to remember, our member here, i think it was 'The Captain....' said the prize was a £1 Woolworths voucher.
For those of you who are not UK members, Woolworths was a shop franchise in the UK, that sold cheap goods, but they went out of business a few years ago, so the prize is useless anyway.

Re: SPECTRE box office
Only $69,478 In the USA yesterday. It's days are numbered now here.................... $75,848 on Tuesday.........only $60,288 on Wednesday. It looks done
Re: SPECTRE box office
So Spectre fizzles out at $865,038,905, with estimated tickets of 23 million in the USA> I was watching the foreign total I think they were eager to round up to $667,000,000, avoiding the total of the beast

Re: SPECTRE box office
THR has reported that SWTFA has taken the UK box office crown away from Skyfall.
So that means the top four are as follows:-
1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens £103+ mil (still playing)
2. Skyfall £103 mil
3. Spectre £94.25 mil (still playing)
4. Avatar £94 mil
