The singer revealed on the Graham Norton Show that he's not in love with the James Bond theme—particularly, its too-high pitch.

"I'm dreading it," he said, before performing the song. "I'm absolutely dreading it." he told Norton before the performance.

"I’ve only sang the song once really. I did the demo in the studio, and they used that. It is horrible to sing. Horrible. I regret—no, I don’t regret it... It’s just so high."

How high is it, Sam? "I have to grab my balls, it's awful."
Yes..........i saw that show...........did you see the bit where Smith turns around to Craig on the couch and says 'your not Bond' ?

Some people had said with viewing the opening titles on Spectre.......the song didn't sound too bad.........if anything i thought it sounded even higher pitched, blasting out over the theatre speakers. Shame coz the actual tune of the song is ok.

Imdb user reviews for spectre....a lot of them seem to be very negative  , score is now down to 7.9 & this is what only 3 days since it's been out & the twists and plot really don't seem to be sitting well with a lot of bond fans.

It's now 79% on RT. As we said, it will be a front loaded pile of trash. One and done for most viewers. This insane Blofeld plot annoys the heck out of me and everyone else who is a Bond traditionalist :!: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: Ale, send over some REAL script writers to EON once Cavill is hopefully hired and Cr-egg is hopefully fired, so Broccoli can go tickle her fancy with Cr-egg in a log cabin somewhere in the Alps.

The series has become "unbond" like, since Pierce Brosnan became 007.

   ...what is this I don't even, that gunbarrel for a start, great that it's finally back but it looks so....halfassed, Craig didn't do the bond walk right there either, along with the turn and that fight reminded Me more of austin powers when he fights one of doc evils henchmen in the original (ie ah my eyes, judo chop). Yes they put the music from ohmss in this clip but this seems to come across as more of a cartoon even more so than dad's last half (almost), I feel sorry for Bautista (brilliant in guardians of he galaxy).

When bond thought jaws in the spy who loved me he really came across as practically an unstoppable force, I just don't seem to feel it here and that's without what I think of this era he just doesn't seem to come across as dangerous as jaws and oddjob did.

They should have just stuck with the gunbarrel style of the Brosnan era, and Craig's walk/turn still looks like crap.
Notice how the iris didn't open for the first scene, like it use to in the old days.

But, let's be grateful it's there at all. They might have shocked us this time by dropping the sequence entirely Image. They've been trashing the Bond series for the last 20 years, as it is Image.

I bet Albert R. Broccoli turns in his grave; every time a new Bond film is released.

I'm with you 100% BJ, how anyone can condone this filth and still call themselves a "Bond Fan" is beyond me. I see the arguments how it's well shot, great cinematography, good action sequences, etc...

But let me put it like this...

I don't care how delicious the punch is, when there is a turd of this magnitude floating in the bowl the party's over!

You said a mouthful DB :!: Broccoli has her minions drinking the sand, believing it's water, from the above video of Michael Douglas, because they are so thirsty for a Bond film, that they just don't know the difference any longer and will accept ANYTHING EON throws out and calls it a Bond film :!:

Also agreed dirtybenny, I don't care how it's shot, since when was that an important aspect of bond, wooh said person filmed it, woopdy doo who gives a toss and yeah it's incredibly sad that people are lapping this up, esp after the debacle recently before spectre came out.

At the time, we had someone posting direct links to illegal copies of the film. I didn't want EON using that as the pretext for shutting this site down.

It's great that the gunbarrel is back at the beginning after 13 years, but it still looks off to me. As I said previously, they should have kept the gunbarrel style of the Brosnan era. It's a nice modern update of the classic Binder design, and has a better blood flow effect. It also doesn't help that you can clearly see the gun in Craig's hand as he does his Shaggy walk.

I know it sounds like I'm nitpicking, but after being disappointed with this series for years, I'm not going to easily accept everything the filmmakers do.

How about this; you can see Daniel Craig's gun in his right hand, as he's walking across the screen, before he turn's to shoot.

The actor's previously had their right arm firmly out of sight (whilst holding the gun, of course), until they'd turn and shoot.

You're absolutely right Saint, that is the shaggy walk! I half expected Craig to yell "ZOINKS!" as he turns and fires!

Eon knows Craig looks stupid in the gunbarrel which is why they have been messing about with it and not using it in the normal way.

It does present a certain Image, delaying the start. However I view it as a hostage situation, the royals were held hostage for two and a half hours by two American producers and their rubbish.
I cringe at the mandatory royal attendance of a Bond film, however when it's is the biggest pillaging of the United Kingdom since the Vikings landed they are obligated to attend. When Doctor Who was revived and proved popular the BBC supposedly sent the Queen a box set of series one to watch on her vacation. I guess being a modern monarch one must pretend to give a hoot about what the masses are drawn to no matter how rubbish.
