Eisenberg said that even though his forthcoming movie is a superhero movie, it may appeal to a larger section of the audience, including those who normally don’t watch movies in this genre. The actor explained that the movie will explore “sophisticated and important themes.”

The report said that Snyder’s movie will be different from Marvel superhero movies and will feel more “grounded” and “gritty.” “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is not expected to be “just a brainless popcorn film” and will apparently offer some “food for thought.”

"Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" is less than a year from its launch, but just as fans are looking forward to the mega superhero battle, some critics and fans alike are questioning Ben Affleck's performance and if the 43-year-old star can give justice to his version of Batman.

Fans continue to indulge in debates on social media and some outlets are bashing the recently divorced actor. The Time Magazine even wrote an account on why Warner Bros. made a wrong decision to pick Affleck for the mighty and sought-after role. On the other hand, the outlet said that one reason why fans disliked the idea is not because the masses don't like the actor himself bust just that his being cast for the role was absolutely unexpected.

But just as the fires keep coming at the actor, his co-vigilante sticks up for him. Who could have known the actor better than Superman himself who spent a lot of time with the star during filming?

When asked about Batman, Cavill immediately said in previous interviews that he believes in Affleck's originality as a star and a filmmaker. When asked if he thinks the same as some critics who believe he will fail his character, Cavill said, "I'm sure he'll be fantastic above all else."

It seems Cavill isn't the only one who sees Affleck's portrayal of his character as confident as Warner Bros. does. According to Franchise Herald, Amy Adams, who plays Lois Lane, has also spoken up about his co-star. Adams was only with Affleck in one scene but she pointed out that what she saw in Affleck was "fantastic."

Zack Snyder has also had nothing but good words for Affleck, including some other stars within the roster who will be part of the biggest superhero battle in the DC universe.

Debates still go on despite the defense of Affleck's co-stars, and until his Batman proves to nail it when the movie releases on March 25, 2016, fans might not completely agree with the idea of an aged and mature Batman.

the dumb ass doesn't realize the comics and movies have always been complicated sophisticated stories .

This real gritty bs will fall flat

The same crap is being applied (or trying to be) applied to doctor who (ie the doc should be female, change ethnicity etc), just because the bloody master didd (d**n you moffat) the doc has always been male and I really hope they never change that (bad enough a lot speculated it as Capaldi's only really bloody started as doc and I think he's one of the best at the minute).

Whilst I agree with Brosnan bond should always be male, I don't agree he should be a different ethnicity (I hate having to put down the I'm not a racist card (as I'm not) but it's wrong to change the characters race, it's like making shaft white, that doesn't mean a black actor couldn't for instance play another 00 (I've seen some great black actors that could play the role brilliantly).

There is a conspiracy theory about the nasa announcement about water on Mars being timed to help the Damon Mars movie .

I didn't think it was likely at first but one story had so quotes from nasa higher up hoping the movie night re-ignite interest and get them re-funded .

My first thought is they are not clever enough to pull this off, but the Russian monopoly and private space program here I think has them scared. So I'm in the maybe camp now.

I believe NASA about the water on Mars. I did not believe them when they said they had found cheese on the Moon.

P.s. for a change there was no cloud for the red Moon.

Nor me, but my wife did see a "rainbow" around the moon last night, a phenomenon I have heard of, but have forgotten the scientific name for.

Saw the eclipse on Sunday-it was amazing-I got one good picture as it was coming up-already in eclipse, too! and another when it was completely eclipsed, but with my iPhone it just looked like a red blob. I was pleased I got to see it though, that sort of stuff is impressive to me. I'm nerdy that way!

I noticed the new Bond releases do not offer free tickets to SP .

I wonder if this means they are confident they don't need it, maybe they can't afford to artificially inflate the BO because the costs are so high

Slashfilm.com: Is anyone else starting to feel sorry for Daniel Craig? Spectre isn’t even in theaters yet, and all the Internet wants to talk about is who should replace him as the next James Bond. Anyway, the latest subject of 007 rumors is Damian Lewis, best known to American audiences as Nicholas Brody from Homeland. According to The Mirror, Lewis has been given the “unofficial nod” as the top choice to replace Craig if he steps down. We’d suggest you take it with a grain of salt, considering the source. (Though “U.K. tabloid” is still one step above “U.K. bookies.”) It’s also worth pointing out that Lewis, at 44, is only three years younger than Craig, and Sony is likely to want someone who can stick around a while.----Denis Villeneuve is about to dig into Blade Runner 2, the follow-up to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic. However, there’s another beloved property he’d love to get his hands on, as he told Coming Soon: I was raised with James Bond. I love James Bond movies. I would love to do a James Bond movie one day. Action is very cinematic. I’m not someone that loves dialogue – I am someone that loves movement. Action, if it’s well done, can be very poetic and meaningful.”

Yeah, I saw that the Damien Lewis non-story had been trotted out again. No doubt we'll be back to Idris Elba again next week.
