The legitimate critics should come to the conclusion that ECH-TRE is a 'been there, done that' film, and that should translate into a lower box office than SK-AWFUL.

Forecast: Ant-Man, the 12th entry in the recognized Marvel Cinematic Universe, opens this weekend with a likely $60M in domestic receipts in 3,700 venues. In Ant-Man's case Marvel replaced Wright with director Peyton Reed, best known for the cheerleader flick, Bring It On, and the Jennifer Aniston/Vince Vaughn rom-com The Break-Up. The change did little to stem the ill-will the production had engendered with the hard-core fanbase. While it's unlikely that that base will shun the new film they might be quick to turn on it if they feel it's not up to par with their imagined Wright film. Given Ant-Man's decidedly mixed reviews it may be in danger of those fans doing just that. The film has a 74% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a healthy (but likely fanboy) 8.0 rating on IMDb from 3,168 users and a Metascore of 66/100. Middling to negative reviews are an external nuisance but Ant-Man also has to deal with some internal, logistical reluctance as well. The 3,700 screens it will be playing on are the second lowest screen counts in MCU history, second only to, you guessed it, Hulk.................I knew this RUDD CRUD would not go over well from day one. Rudd is NOT superhero material, nor was Reynolds as the Green Lantern, nor Garfield the Cat (now fired) as Spiderman, nor will Affleck be good as Batman and his film will do half of what The Avengers did.

SK-AWFUL did $161,176,369 in the UK and $304,360,277 in the USA. With the boring psychotic plot by Mendes I don't see this film doing these numbers in these 2 major markets FBF..............also, Gareth Edwards returns to direct a follow-up to his 2014 rebirth of the iconic Toho film GODZILLA. Taking place after the events of Godzilla (2014), Godzilla 2 will feature not one, not two, but three additional monsters! These include the giant moth guardian Mothra, Rodan and the infamous three-headed dragon King Ghidorah! Following the suit of Ghidorah, The Three-Headed Monster and Destroy All Monsters, Legendary Pictures and Gareth Edwards hope to once again bring the King of all Monsters back into the hollywood spotlight with even more monster mayhem and action-packed thrills in the summer of 2018!

I'm not getting My hopes up, critics seemed to love skadrool, chances are they will once again love this rubbish and...don't like thinking about it, so they go out of their way to give bond an unecessary reboot after a less impressive last half in die another day but the bond who moans constantly about his life and hates the world continues to shine (god help us all).

You mean by Logan. Sorry, I'm a little touchy about directors taking the, ahem, "credit" for the work of writers.

Last week, the BBFC passed uncut a new trailer for upcoming Bond adventure Spectre. Could this mean we could be seeing a new trailer as early as tomorrow, Friday 17th July? If not, then the fact that this information has been released certainly signals a new trailer is imminent. According to the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), the trailer has a run time of 2 minutes and 30 seconds, which makes it the first full length trailer of the new Bond film.

It was passed 12A, which is what I assume the film will be.

Boxoffice.com: Jurassic World: Total Budget: $215,000,000---BoxOffice.com's total budget numbers are a "combination" of production budget figures AND estimated domestic P&A costs......Ant-Man's "production" budget was $130 million according to boxofficemojo.com......how the heck can ECHHHHHHHHHHH-TRE's "production" only budget be estimated at $350 million, BEFORE P&A costs?  For what, salaries to Broccoli, Wilson, Mendes, Fiennes, and Cr-egg?

Don't watch the trailer. It will only be Craig with his grim mug mumbling in the dark.

Watch this as an alternative.

I agree

I just can't see how all that money........ ONLY goes on to making the film...........either the film studio is reckless with its money and paying over the top prices for every aspect of the filming.........or some people are getting ridiculously well paid!

Well according to Variety the Broccoli's were paid off the top in 2002 to the tune of 30 million USD for producing. Add in Daniel's massive pay day also the lorry full gold to persuade Mendes, well even then 350 million USD plus is still too much.

This can only happen because the studio is desperate to get their hands on another "Bond Film", from the email leaks the cost does not make sense to anybody else involved. The day Bond loses money like QOS did is the day we either see the studio put strict limits on the Broccoli's, or we will see the studio go bankrupt again delaying Bond again indefinitely.

The weird bit of news was MGM's ownership of half the films not counting, CR & TB, is contingent on them not going completely bankrupt, if they do the ownership reverts back. I must have missed who it reverts back to, either Danjaq or the Saltzmans I suppose.

Lets start a silly rumour; Harry Saltzman's daughter is producing the James Bond theatrical production, maybe Spectre's sprawling budget and seemingly inept money management is an elaborate Bondian like plan to bankrupt MGM ala Casino Royale, freeing ownership back to the original partners descendants and of course the Russians at SMERSH. The IAEA is on board too. Centrifuges are spinning overtime. Greek Banks are behind the scheme, all in an attempt to jump star their economy by making Greece a tourist destination once again by featuring it's historic landmarks prominently in the next ten Bond movies. Think Heineken product placement taken to the Nth degree. For Bond 25 Daniel will bungee jump off the Parthenon after a thrilling demolition derby style car chase through the Acropolis. He will also be shown depositing his entire pay into The Greek Nation Bank, all of the main characters (good and bad) will bank there as well taking time to mention on camera how trustworthy the Greek banking system is and how the Swiss are "s**t".

Sam Mendes is the guest during the break at the cricket on the radio. I'm not listening as it is too annoying.

Funny you should mention that. I tuned in to listen and, ugh, Mendes was still on. He said that he only did Bond because of Daniel Craig and that when Craig was first mentioned for the part he'd advised him not to take it. The reason? Because Mendes thought the Bond films had become "disengaged, jokey, eyebrow-raising pastiches" and were the "opposite of Daniel". Yes, in other words, the crappy old James Bond series was beneath the great Daniel Craig and Sam Mendes so they had to completely change it. Sod you Sam Mendes. I hope your stupid film bombs.

I thought Mendes was a fan of Live And Let Die. If the old Bond films are really that terrible, there should be no need to constantly make references to them.

Unlike the pretentious smart arses we have now, the people who worked on the old Bond films were honoured to be part of the series.

Imo he was saying Craig is not bond material but now that bond is all artsy Craig is so perfect. And of course being a Craig fan boy he had to bash the past bonds primarily Moore .

But I think this attitude is changing because of all the directors some of who are big names in the UK who are making their own movies that feel like bond and are saying they miss when those movies were fun. Imo in the next 10 years the popular opinion will be people who said things like mendes did will be people who didn't get bond .
