Got S4 of Game Of Thrones for my birthday..just waiting for a few rainy days to do a bingewatch.

Watching Sherlock: The Reichenbach Fall again. I notice several plot similarities with Skyfall, but Sherlock got there first. Also, Sherlock is a) entertaining and b) actually as clever as Skyfall thinks it is.

Agent Carter finally getting its UK premiere tonight. Liking it so far.

Re: What TV programmes are watching at the moment?
Quantico on ABC(really good) Indian Summers(PBS Masterpiece)-loving it.
Have Scream Queens on my DVR but haven't watched the first episode yet and the second is on tonight.
The new season of NCIS was better than I thought.
Read a description of the season premiere of The Simpsons, decided NOT to watch it and after reading the reviews was glad that I didn't. I think the Simpsons has finally jumped the shark, TBH.

Re: What TV programmes are watching at the moment?
Having recently picked up the only 3rd Doctor story I don't have (The Ambassadors Of Death, which I just started today), i have been having a 3rd Doctor... I guess you could say a marathon, though i'm not watching then back-to-back.
My ranking so far:
1. Doctor Who And The Silurians
2. Spearhead From Space
Pertee is one of my favourite Doctors, and i'm looking foward especially to re-watching The Sea Devils.

Re: What TV programmes are watching at the moment?
I saw a couple of episodes of Silurians on the Horror Channel recently. As a 7-parter, it suffered from the same glacial pacing that afflicts many of the longer stories.

Re: What TV programmes are watching at the moment?
It is a touch on the slow side, I agree. That said, The Invasion, though running one part longer, has a quicker pace. Or at least, it feels like it moves quick.
Re: What TV programmes are watching at the moment?
That's one story I’ve never seen, though I know it's a fan favourite.

It's high place in the general ranking of Who stories amongst fans, I feel, is well deserved.

Re: What TV programmes are watching at the moment?
Earlier I continued with my 3rd Doctor marathon with:
Inferno (episodes 5, 6, & 7)
One look at my ranking will show that it goes without saying, but this is my standout story of series 7. Sadly, this'll be the last we'll see of Liz Shaw (Caroline John) as the main companion. Nothing against Jo, but I would have liked Liz to have stayed longer (had Caroline John not been pregnant).

2. Doctor Who And The Silurians
3. Spearhead From Space
4. The Ambassadors Of Death

I've started catching up with Upstart Crow on iPlayer, Ben Elton's new sitcom starring David Mitchell as William Shakespeare. Quite enjoying it so far - you could say it's Shakespeare In Love meets Blackadder.

Re: What TV programmes are watching at the moment?
Caught up on X files and true detective
Um, disappointed in the cliffhanger ending for x files and the lame alien dna story. As usual some fun episodes maybe they tried too hard to be politically hip.
True detective a step down for McConaughey and lucky break for harrelson. It's HBO so young women showing tits is required I do hope they got hazard pay for bumping and grinding on harrelson .
Story itself is ok, I binged watched it so I didn't have weeks of anticipation to wonder about whodunnit.
Part of the show before you get to chasing the serial killer, when it's just one dead, the people to get of the street are the two cops the show is very centered on . They commit so many crimes in Pursuit of justice the public good is better served by putting the cops in jail.
Plent if twists and turns, not so great on recreating the 90a visually. Some of the cars are brand new the year the story is in.
Not boring but dark. Worth a watch if you are into mysteries
