I think I just read the best description of Craig as Bond:"Having Craig as Bond is like having a clock that works anticlockwise...it simply doesn't work."

So...your top 5 then :)

I think that back in 2005/6, I considered Cavill a little too young, and Fassbender wasn't really on my radar. My top 3 at the time, going from memory, would have been:

1: James Purefoy
2: Sam Worthington
3: Richard Armitage

Cavill has gone up considerably in my estimation since then, while I now wonder what I ever saw in Worthington. Funny how opinions can change over time.

According to Gulf News, Craig's contract includes one more Bond movie after "Spectre," but the actor reportedly may choose to opt out of the franchise on a high if "Spectre" does well in the box office. The same report notes that Damien Lewis is the leading favorite for the role of James Bond. The former "Homeland" star leads ahead other actors such as Idris Elba, who was famous for his role in the movie "The Wire," Tom Hardy, who recently starred in the action film "Mad Max: Fury Road," Henry Cavill, who is known for his role as Superman in "Man of Steel," and Michael Fassbender, who is famous as the young Magneto in the "X-men" movie series.

If she picks Lewis to replace Cr-egg, it's stage door left for the franchise and we are done with it. DAMIENLEWISISNOTBOND.com will replace this forum and good riddance to Broccoli and her demented mindset :!:

I am hoping that Spectre won't be well recieved and that Craig would just go away...

You've gotta love the blast of the MI theme at the end. At least there's one series that hasn't abandoned it's instantly iconic theme....
