He has the look, can exude the right qualities and is 38.
He gives me a "mean" vibe somehow. Like he is more at home with "antagonist" roles.
I think that could be channeled into Bond.

I was not a Fassbender fan, until his appearance on Top Gear, he showed a humorous side not normally shown in his movies. He does not take himself too seriously, he could look at the camera and share the joke with the audience. I think Timothy Dalton had this problem when filming his Bonds, obvious he is an accomplished actor however now I think he could nail Bond without a problem. Seeing him in Hot Fuzz I could help but he impressed. Of course with Timothy took over they and he wanted to separate form the more light hearted Roger Moore outings. So maybe he had the chops back then only lack the opportunity.

Back to Fassbender, X-men first class like Kingsman was essentially a Bond movie. Plenty of times he could have said 'the name is Bond' and it would be credible.

I found the latests advert with the pregnant pause saying the name extremely off putting. More the situation than the Shatner delivery.

I think his career is too far advanced for him to be considered. Same with Tom Hardy, god he'd be awful, if you like me think Daniel looks like a gym reject, Tom Hardy will take it to next level.

Atticus wrote:Barbara Broccoli's insanity is once again on public display. The Mirror has an article claiming that she's a big fan of Damien Lewis and, supposedly, she's been chasing the actor for 18 months:

"But James Bond movie boss Barbara Broccoli was telling executives 18 months ago that English gent Damian, 44, who starred as Heny VIII in Wolf Hall, has the potential to play the upper-crust spy."

http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-s ... nd-5895029

So this is yet another example of her vision of Bond. The woman, more than ever, is a pure loony tune. But at the rate she's degenerating, it won't surprise me if she ends up casting Kevin James or David Spade as Bond.
The man has the acting chop Daniel never will. He is a nice guy by most accounts. I don't see him as Bond. Honestly at this point for me it comes down to a better actor and better direction for Bond, I might ignore a lot of of lacking attributes just to have a new Bond Movie I can bear to watch.

Caterina Murino I adore. Just see her in Zen. If she were to ask me in that Italian way if were were going to have an affair I have to answer in the affirmative.
However in Casino Royale she is easily the classiest most beautiful woman on the set, they didn't use her right. It was as if they cast her to be Vesper to Pierce or Henry's Bond, they got Craig and it didn't work.

It matters not because I will defend Caterina Murino to the death, hers or mine. ;)

It is kind of curious how the very recent Bond girl are ranking highest, is it really because they ere the worst or is it they are the most recent?

It's like Moore is the one providing the chemistry for the two. For me if someone asked what's the most overrated Bond girl(not counting Vesper in CR) it would be between her and Pussy Galore(I know I know...her name is iconic but I was never that fascinated with her)...and I never got the popularity of Wai Lin as well...the whole kickass thing does nothing for me.
I like Anya, but I just thought it was a bit odd that she is included on both the worst and best list of Bond Girls.

Cheers Blowfeld! Caterina is extremely beautiful, and I think she gave an extremely sexy performance in CR.She was the only one that actually stood out as good. And yeah,of course she would be better off Pierce. And for Henry? A young Bond hooking up with an older, married woman? I could totally see that.
I actually recently read similar statement to your "if she asked me..."

Oh well,Eva Green often finds the spot in the top 5 lists but then she was voted as the most overrated Bond girl(and I agree)...

Jurassic World continued its record-breaking pace on Tuesday with a daily take of $24.34 million. The Chris Pratt led 3D blockbuster sequel from Universal and Legendary declined a slim 4 percent from Monday's performance. That represented an exceptional first Tuesday hold for an event film, especially when factoring in the competition the film faced from Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night. Jurassic World generated the largest non-opening day Tuesday performance ever; as it topped the $20.87 million take of previous record holder 2008's The Dark Knight. Jurassic World claimed the third largest Tuesday gross ever when including opening day performances, behind only 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man ($35.02 million) and 2007's Transformers ($27.85 million).

Jurassic World surpassed the $250 million mark yesterday on its fifth day of release. That set a new record as previous record-holder Marvel's The Avengers took six days to pass the $250 million mark. Jurassic World has grossed $258.49 million in five days. That represents the largest five-day start of all-time, topping the $244.01 million five-day start of Marvel's The Avengers by $14.48 million and 6 percent. Given strong word of mouth and strong daily percentage holds thus far, no new direct competition for action fans and Father's Day on Sunday, Jurassic World looks to be in store for a terrific second weekend hold. The line about an affair was a play on dialogue in Zen, althou if most Bond girls were to ask that question I don't suppose most blokes would turn it down. Zen was a short live mystery series set in Italy acted by mostly English cast based on books by a English author, I like it because I thought it had an Italian feel to it.

Caterina's character is Tania
Tania: "Are we going to have an affair?"
Zen: "Yeah."
Tania: "OK."

I forget who started it. Someone had a smart piece of satire, it was Daniel Craig is no longer a person / actor he is a role to be cast.
Example: Pierce Brosnan is Daniel Craig in Barbara Broccoli's James Bond: Elevator to the Gallows (alt title; why does mummy not love me)

As a traditionalist, I think it's time to throw in the towel, and I've already done mine the day Pierce was replaced in October 2005.

No word on Survivor? Is it gone? ------Mark Kermode, Observer film critic:Good call by Emma Thompson, who baled out at the eleventh-hour from this copper-bottomed terrorist-themed stinker. If only the others had her foresight. Poor Pierce Brosnan is the oily assassin of no fixed facial hair who agrees to perform a ball-dropping post-9/11 golden shot for reasons of financial gain, personal vendetta, and the opportunity to do some top-level scenic scowling. Milla Jovovich is the spunky US agent who finds herself on the wrong side of the fence after escaping a bomb attack in London. Frances de la Tour pootles ineffectually in and out of shot, Robert Forster looks lost and frankly a little bit sad, and Angela Bassett appears from behind closed doors like a celebrity guest on Stars in Their Eyes. By the time we get to the spectacularly contrived Times Square finale, you’re wondering why Zac Efron and Ashton Kutcher aren’t around to throw themselves in front of speeding New Year’s Eve bullets. After V For Vendetta, this is W for What a Waste...............6% on Rotten Tomatoes :!: I never saw such a low score there.
