I hope I look as young as Sir Roger at 49.
So do I. (Craig won't  )

No, but Fleming did describe him as being Hollywood handsome.

Skywalker, that pic of Craig isn't even that unflattering, what are you trying to prove? That he's more handsome than the guy above him? I'm sure everyone agrees on that.

PS: If Craig is that ugly in the role of Bond.........How come this fact has only been observed by a handful of people on this website, and not the
worldwide population???

A couple of questions for you.........

Whenever i go on the internet to visit Bond sites, i always seem to
come across your name!.........but i dont ever recall seeing your name
crop up at CommanderBond.net when i posted there during the cinema run of CR.
Were you, or are you a member there, and did you have a different
name?

.........and we all know you dont like DC, but who of the previous actors
did you like in the role? Just curious!!

EA :) :)
I posted under my "known name" at CB.net for a short time. I found it more of a Craig lovefest than MI6 and stopped posting there. I go back to read some of the posts occasionally. In regard to your other question, I thoroughly enjoy Connery as my favorite, with Moore second, and Brosnan third. Lazenby and Dalton I tolerate and do watch their films, but not with the same gusto as the films of the other three.I too was not thrilled with (the second half of) DAD and found that script lacking, but I do watch it. I find Craig intolerable to watch as Bond.

I'm registered on the Commander Bond site, but I stopped posting on there for the same reason. You can't take that site seriously anymore!

I love GE, TND, TWINE and the first half of DAD, but don't like very much about the second half of DAD. But IMO even the second half of DAD is more entertaining than Casino Royale. Even DAF is far superior to Casino Royale.

For me it's a 3-way tie between Connery, Moore and Brosnan as my favorite Bond. I do like Dalton quite a bit as well. Lazenby was ok with all things considered. Even though Lazenby had been my least favorite Bond in the past, I can honestly say that he had far, far more personality than Daniel Craig!

I would be surprised if any magazine did 007.
Perhaps being one of the Men of the Year on People Magazine for his portrayal of James Bond doesn't count? GQ? Esquire?

Nah he's too ugly because you guys say so. Sienna Miller is nodding with all of you on that subject.

Surely promoting a new movie is never a bad thing. Seems you'll do anything to badmouth anyone BJ. What a strange person you are. Is everything negative with you?
Nash, you like dealing with the facts. The fact is I do not bad mouth anyone, and I challenge you to point out where I do. What I find intolerable about James Bond is Daniel Craig, and I will not sugar coat that fact. The ONLY negative you hear from me about Bond is Craig, that is it. I thoroughly enjoy the other 20 films, some more than others. Does that make a person 'strange' in your eyes? This is a site dedicated to the alternative viewpoint of the other Craig lovefest websites on the internet. Do not expect praise here for Craig, for 'that just ain't gonna happen'.

Agree. MI6 as well EOTT. You and I agree on our most favorite things about the Bond films. A pleasure to read about the enjoyment we 'used to get' with a Bond film.

Anyway the ladies luv him............and i think EON were trying to get a
person with a more natural acting ability, not a Moore (raised eyebrows)
or Brosnan (forced grimace) approach to acting.

Moving away from the 'ugly man contest'.........What do you guys make
of Haggis's comments on his writing for Bond 22?

He says the new film will continue 2 minutes after CR (why 2 minutes
i dont know, maybe Bond has a sandwich break!!).

The new film would continue with the same sort of tone as set out in CR,
and would have more realistic fight scenes.

Sounds good to me! :) :)

EA
He also stated Bond 22 will not be a Fleming story but Fleming ideas. This more or less is the first time in Bond history the audience has an idea about how the film will open.If it is two minutes later, after Craig's Bond shot Mr. White in the leg, Craig should be wearing his suit, holding the big gun, and interrogating Mr. White for information. Perhaps Mr. White's henchmen will show up trying to rescue him and Craig's Bond will be involved in an elaborate fight scene, with brutal hand to hand combat, with camera movements blurring the blows, just like was done in TBU. During the battle, Mr. White dies, but not before he reveals another name for Bond to track down. In the end, the true baddies work for the British government, ala TBU's plot. So, how does this scenario sound to you? Again, no Moneypenny, no Q, but more of the same from CR?

I know you despise Daniel Craig as Bond, but the promotion of a film is hardly his fault. He's been cast as one of the most popular character in film history. Magazines are going to put them on the cover of there magazines. Get over it. To say how unattractive or craggy faced or unBondian he looks wont change a d**n thing. So why bother. True.........but unfortunately for you guys, it means nowt at the end of the day.

You never know in the future you may even begin to like the new style
of Bond films with Craig.

If not you'll all be old timers before there is a change in the lead role.

Sorry.........but its called reality.

Why does it concern you so much? If you are a Bond fan who loves Craig you can go over to MI6 and discuss him happily with others. If you are a Bond fan and can't stand Craig you can come here and chat to people with a similar opinion. Why do you even bother coming here? Why does it get to you so much that not all James Bond fans approve of Daniel Craig, and that just as some see him as the saviour of Bond others see him as the nadir.

In that case, maybe Chris Evans should be cast as the next Bond. After all, he was married to Billie Piper for a time.

For some reason, I have that Joe Jackson song running through my head, the one that begins "pretty women, walking with gorillas down the street".

Arthur, the reality is EON will replace Craig as soon as the tide of spy genre movie taste swings, as they did with Brosnan. It could be sooner, rather than later.

This is Haggis' view of what Bond should be. Do you agree? I do not. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=36631 This mindset is the great divide amongst our fandom.

I doubt they'll replace him before his 3 film contract is up. And I doubt he'd want to stay much beyond that, given his lack of enthusiasm for taking the role in the first place.
