The Holly-woodies try to unite, with no shame it seems for being insulted, even if it makes them look like morons.

About that scene. According to an interview with Zack Snyder he was inspired by an amine call 'Birdy the Mighty' . Personally it works better in cartoon form.bjmdds wrote:I knew the Sweeney felt strongly about this Superman fiasco, ala Rockum-Sockum robot relentless fight scenes, with buildings being demolished constantly.

Is this like the petition George Clooney said nobody would sign? As it turned out they never signed it because they never got it. The petition they got was Sony designed with tricky language nobody could agree to.Kristatos wrote:Just checking. I can not fathom how Amy Pascal can hope to keep her job, Sony has got to be thinking of selling the studio after all the fall out. To me reading this I get the sense it's speaking well of someone you disliked at their wake; nothing you do can bring them back and they can't hurt you now.

The Moon and the Sun to feature Pierce Brosnan’s King Louis XIV questing for immortality by trying to harvest a mermaid’s life force
The Moon and the Sun, the movie adaptation of Vonda N. McIntyre’s 1997 Nebula Award-winning historical sci-fi novel of the same name, is set for release to US theaters on April 10. Directed by Sean McNamara from a script written by Ronald Bass, Barry Berman, Laura Harrington, Bill Mechanic and James Schamus, it follows the 17th century French King Louis XIV’s (Pierce Brosnan) quest for immortality as he captures and tries to steal the lifeforce of a mermaid, a quest complicated when his illegitimate daughter Marie-Josephe (Kaya Scodelario) discovers and befriends the creature (Fan Bingbing).
3:50 PM EST 1/8/2015 by Kara Michelle, Celebeat Reporter
According to the story, Father Yves de la Croix (Benjamin Walker), a natural philosopher and explorer, on his return from a mission brings back two specimens of sea creatures: a dead male and a live female which was placed in the Apollo fountain in the Palace of Versailles. In the course of acting as Yves' assistant, sketching the dead male sea creature's dissection, and caring for the live specimen, Marie-Josèphe soon realizes that the creature is a sentient sea woman. Thus, Marie-Josèphe tries to convince the others at court, including Yves, that the sea woman is intelligent and hopefully free her. Unfortunately, no one but Pere de Chaise (William Hurt) took her seriously. The king intends to keep the creature and harvest her life force in his quest for immortality. In the end though, Marie-Joseph did manage to save and set the mermaid free.
Paramount Pictures has acquired the US distribution rights to The Moon and The Sun, which also stars Ben Lloyd-Hughes as Jean-Michel Lintillac, Paul Ireland as Benoit,Pablo Schreiber as Dr. Labarthe, Rachel Griffiths as Abbess, and Crystal Clarke as Magali. Filming for The Moon and the Sun began in early April 2014 and wrapped-up in end of May 2014. The studio has not yet released any official trailer clip nor teaser poster for the upcoming film.

The film will be a classic if it is any good just because of the legends of Asian cinema staring in it with Brosnan. I think it has a small budget too so it should be a winner with BO alone.

The last classic Pierce had that appealed to the wider audience was GE which held its throne for FAR TOO LONG.Omega wrote:The film will be a classic if it is any good just because of the legends of Asian cinema staring in it with Brosnan. From the Kingsman movie website:
Between that and the FYEO-inspired poster, I like this movie already.THE GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE
(1) A gentleman never tells about conquests, private matters, or dealings. His business is nobody else's.
(2) A gentleman doesn't clash in public with enemies or exes, or worse, with out-of-fashion contrasts, colours or styles.
(3) A gentleman is always happy to serve, whether it's opening the door, picking up the bill, or merely calling a cab the next morning. Ask him for help and he cannot refuse.
(4) A gentleman never reacts to rudeness. He pretends he doesn't recognize it and moves on like it never happened, because it never should have.
(5) A gentleman is always on target with witty remarks, interesting facts, and conversation starters that bring the best out of everyone. And
(6) A gentleman asks non-invasive questions to keep a conversation going and attention focused on others. He makes them feel like the most interesting person he's ever met, whether that's true or not.

More seriously those are not great pictures, not when compared to other big franchises who do the single photo grab right. But some were a few fanboys are going nuts over Craig's wide stance and how bleak and serious it all looks.

Does Adele have a new mission to sing for James Bond again?
The British songstress, 26, who won an Oscar for her theme song for the franchise's last installment, Skyfall, is rumored to be working on Spectre.
According to The Daily Mirror, she was flown to Los Angeles to record potential new music for the film. A source at MGM told the paper that "execs made their feelings known to Adele that they want her back for the next film. They’ll still have to decide whether they want the tune once it’s recorded." ....FBF said Broccoli was up to something again.

With a generic action hero Bond and a pretentious film, might as well score the hat-trick with another depressing theme.

I think Adele's song was the best Bond song in later years, but was it worthy of an Oscar I don't know?
Anyway maybe they want her to become the new Shirley Bassey contributing to several Bond films?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
So there was big Hannibal news(turned out to be a new trailer) but a lot of people were speculating that the news could be that they got the rights to Clarice Starling.
See, like the current keepers of the Bond franchise, Bryan Fuller(Hannibal's producer/creators) has gotten into legal wrangling with MGM who own the rights to the SOTL characters(save for Jack(Crawford) and Hannibal. All the others? a no go. The big difference here is that Hannibal/Clarice have not been parodied to within an inch of their life like the Bond films have *cough*Austin Powers*cough*
