Yeah, it's only on one screen here in Bristol. And, sod's law, that screen is in a multiplex that's really difficult to get to if, like me, you don't have a car.
I have a car but...d**n that's still a long way for Me, way it's going I may have to settle with watching it on dvd instead :(.

Like I've been saying, there's a strange force out there that has been trying to bring Pierce down since after GE.

Sometimes films aren't as successful at the box office as they should be. It doesn't require belief in supernatural forces, or wild conspiracy theories in which Barbara Broccoli controls the entire movie industry, from the studios to the exhibitors, in order to explain it.

Did anyone here in the UK see it at all? Maybe the Sweeney saw it.

Since after GE, Pierce's work either get not-so-good reviews or do not get the recognition they deserve or both.

If anything, Hollywood is letting Pierce down.

it's only in 12 theaters. I've heard more about people not being able to find than I have about seeing it at various sites

Man I don't think any had sabotaged Pierce. I also don't think GE is his best movie. He's gone a lot further the most actors after bond. He's doing better than Craig is now with his other jobs

It is in the eyes in the majority. Maybe it's not, but it is his most overrated work in his entire career.

But he's not getting the recognition he deserves.

I don't think we have anything against Brosnan. November Man is a small movie that will appeal to those who liked Brosnan as Bond and/or thought he deserved another film. There's no way this would have the same opening as Bond. No Cinema near me is showing NM, but then, i'm not a die hard Brosnan fan, so I wouldn't go if they did. Though I am curious to see the film, I will wait for the DVD.

I think bj said it was a $15 million film. They've put more in p&a than the movie cost. I don't get why there was a film preview for the press or why Disney is the distributor in a few areas.

But every territory they put it in with big ads and max number of cinemas the larger the whole it digs is. At this point dvd and bluray make more sense. Even with the same screen count they could not beat interstellar or the other Disney movie.

The only thing I wonder is if they are not going to make the sequel anyway. The way they've acted is not like when you see a studio give up on a movie. Like John Carter.

Maybe, but I guess with all the overwhelmingly stupid unecessary praise tripefall got it feels like us as a country have really lowered our standards, people are entitled to like skyfall but I was angry that it opened so well over here when it didn't deserve it yet november man does deserve it and won't (some still think Brosnan is to blame for dad when he wasn't and that's sadly forever left a bad taint on him).

There's more than that. Even though Pierce does better compared to his predecessors, everything he did after GE, especially in his post-Bond career, ends up either under radar or get the recognition they deserve or both. This is something I do not understand.

Only "12" UK theatres for NM in the UK? Disgaceful, and poorly marketed by Brosnan's group there.

Pierce has been wearing the underratedness stamp on his forehead for 19 years, and 19 years is WAAAAAYYYYYYYY overdue.

I think it's because, post-Bond, he devoted himself to smaller, more personal projects. Many of them got good critical notices, but weren't blockbusters, and weren't intended to be. Mamma Mia was a huge hit, but looked down on by the critics, probably because it lacked Skyfall's middlebrow pretensions. Critics like that sort of thing.

Only 12 theatres in the entire UK FBF? Are they kidding? It should be in 100 theatres minimum.
