Godzilla added $15 million, most of which came from its second weekend in China. To date, it's earned $68.1 million there. Overall, the monster movie has taken in $282.4 million overseas, and still has Japan on the way in late July.

I know BJ is not a fan of the Kartrashians(lol) so this will make him happy.

[begin rant] I don't think I have seen two people with their heads more up their own a$$ses than Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. They think nothing of spending extravagant amounts of money on weddings, theirs kid's first birthday party(which she won't even remember!)..and now I hear they're building a hospital in their house. At the rate they're going, they'll be broke in a year or two! :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: [/end rant]

He might have played Q, but it would appear that John Cleese holds no affection for the current state of the Bond film.

The Python has slated the Daniel Craig era for being both ‘humourless’, and for pandering to the Asian film market.

“I did two James Bond movies and then I believe that they decided that the tone they needed was that of the Bourne action movies, which are very gritty and humourless,” he told the Radio Times.

“Also, the big money was coming from Asia, from the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, where the audiences go to watch the action sequences, and that’s why in my opinion the action sequences go on for too long, and it’s a fundamental flaw.

“The audiences in Asia are not going for the subtle British humour or the class jokes.”

Most recently, ‘Skyfall’ featured a large section of action set in the Far East, notably in China.

Image FBF, you got your wish :!: Victory :!: ------- Das Films is at work on NOVEMBER MAN 2, a sequel to the upcoming Pierce Brosnan film “The November Man.” The film tells the story of former secret agent Peter Devereaux, who is forced out of retirement and soon finds himself facing off against his former student. It’s based on the novel “There Are No Spies” from the “November Man” series by Bill Granger. In addition to Brosnan, Olga Kurylenko (“Quantum of Solace”), Luke Bracey (“G.I. Joe: Retaliation”), and Bill Smitrovich (“Ted”) star.

Without having seen “The November Man,” it’s hard to say what the plot of the sequel might be, but there’s plenty to pick from in the source materials; “There Are No Spies” is the seventh in the 13-book series. The next book in the series, “The Infant of Prague,” sees Devereaux kidnapped by his archenemy Colonel Ready during a botched mission–but given that Das Films started by adapting the seventh book in the series, there’s no reason to think they’ll go in chronological order for the sequel.

We do know that Boon Saleem, the executive who over saw the first film, is doing the same for the sequel. “The November Man” was directed by Roger Donaldson off a script written by Karl Gajdusek, so it’s possible we could see a return from them for the sequel. The same goes for the film’s actors; Brosnan was pretty heavily involved in the process of bringing Granger’s book to the screen, so he’d probably be up for a return.

Of course, this is all undoubtedly contingent on how “The November Man” performs. If it does well, though, this could be the start of a whole new spy franchise for Brosnan, who is one of the best-known actors to play James Bond. The film is slated for an August 27 release (that’s a Wednesday, for those without savant-like knowledge of the calendar), and there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of competition that week; there’s the psychological thriller “The Loft” and the horror film “Jessabelle.” On the other hand, as a Wednesday release, the film may have to contend with stronger competition from the previous weekend’s debuts, which include “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.” So it should be interesting to see what happens.

An article regarding Purvis and Wade returning to touch up Logan's script for Bond 24, and that filming has been delayed from October of this year to December.

But now they’re back. The pair — who co-wrote five films for the franchise — have just been hired to re-write Logan’s script and give it some ‘punch’..............sounds like trouble in Eon paradise. Why not just dump Cr-egg amd get the interest back into the franchise with the 7th 007 prospects already?

Cinema Blend:The problem, according to the Daily Mail, is that these rewrites are going to cause a significant delay in the production, or, as a source calls it, "polite turmoil" behind the scenes. The production on Bond 24 now won’t begin until December, "a few months later then they wanted" according to the source. This allows Sam Mendes time to direct Simon Russell Beale as King Lear at the National Theatre, and to co-stage a revival of Cabaret in Manhattan. Part of the compromise of bringing Sam Mendes back to Bond after Skyfall was allowing him to maintain his theater commitments, of which he has many.

Here’s the bigger question: Will these delays force Bond 24 to move off of its November 6, 2015 release date, as was previously announced. It almost has to, no? Compressing a James Bond production under a year doesn’t allow a lot of time for post-production. And that’s if the shoot goes as smoothly as possible (which is hardly a guarantee). There have been discussions ever since Sony announced the plans for Bond 24 that it would lead to back-to-back Bond movies, and maybe that leads to a streamlined production schedule. But a December start on Sam Mendes next 007 thriller leads me to believe we’ll be waiting longer than anticipated to see the lethal agent on screen again.

Awww. So many Craig fans were elated those two got the axe now they are being brought back. Guess the story was true and the script was no where near ready.

Since 2002-2014 only 3 Eon films.........who knows when Bond 24 will even come out now........it's never a good sign when things like this occur. November Man looks better and better now compared to Eon's garbage.

I think they'd only move the release date as an absolute last resort. These things are planned literally years in advance, and moving the release date of a blockbuster movie is a huge deal.

Here I was thinking they cut it close for Skyfall.

If this one has the standard eight month shoot then it finish filming around this time next year maybe later. Leaving two months for editing and other stuff like music.

I'll never say those baboons can't do it. They pull more movies out of their rears than most of Hollywood.

All the same I would like to see how 007 does against SW Episode Seven. Last time I can recall the franchise came this close was Octopussy.

Those were released in the UK back in 2012. The first 5 were released in hardback, with reproduction covers of the 1980's originals prior to the 2012 paperbacks. Still, it's nice to see the Gardner books back in print.

Given what passes for Bond continuation novels anymore, it's *definitely* a good thing!
