Where has everybody gone?

Post by Captain Nash »

I haven't been giving this forum the time I was in the past.
But does anyone else feel like people don't seem to post like they once did?
Many of the regular posters seem to post only occasionally. Even the mods aren't here on a regular basis.
Could it be that everyone has run out of things to say?
Does the forum have the legs to continue?
Will this place be a thing of the past by the time Bond 22 hits the cinemas?
Maybe only bj and a few others rallying around to boycott B22, spouting the, he's to short and ugly to be Bond crap.
I see alot of new members have joined, but less and less members seem to be posting.
Will this trend continue?

Maybe most of our members are busy nowadays like me. Even Sweeney was not posting that much unlike before. I don't know if this was the case from the other Bond forums because this is the very first time I joined a Bond forum. Maybe most of the posters will return after Bond 22, where Craig would give another disappointing version of James Bond.
BOND sells, NOT CRAIG
The reboot is a risky area, did Eon need to do it? NO. Did this confuse alot of people? YES.
The Bond character will always be anchored in the values of the 60s

Well I know that Mi6 is going fine. It never really changes much as far as posting goes. There is a good solid amount of regular posters.
As for CBn, I don't visit there so often. I find the style of the site to be awful, and there's nothing new there that Mi6 hasn't already posted.
If people aren't going to post untill B22 then it could get rather boring don't you think?

Slightly bizarre to compare us with MI6 and Cbn. How many years have they been going? Perhaps some of our regulars actually have things to do in the summer!

Yes of course, that must be it.
But all the other sites show no signs of stalling. I'm sure it'll all be back to normalish soon.

Do not worry Nash, the debates will pick up shortly as the details of the next Bond farce are unveiled.

When it comes to discussing films I talk about current and upcoming. When I was posting constantly in this forum that was right after the DVD release of CR and so I had a lot to say and debate. Months later the topics are no longer fresh and I've pretty much said enough of what I think about CR and the future for Bond.

I do have a feeling that when Bond 22 is near release this forum will be more crowded than in its prime debut during the DVD release for CR. I'll be here then unless I am surrounded by new kids. It just wouldn't be the same without you all. :(

I prefer quality over quantity myself.

MI6 has a rather eccentric and busy off-topic section.

It's quite lively considering it's an anti site.

I agree, it is as lively as someone on comatose.

Just wait for the revival of the site on Nov 08 when we see whether the war will be won by either Anti-Craig or Pro-Craig.

Nice rank Skywalker! double oh! Do you get to keep it this time?

We''ve been back from vacation for a some time now. Its been more hectic after the Vacation than before. The little No's are home from school and managing their time is a trick.
