http://uptownmagazine.com/2013/12/denze ... ex-luthor/ http://screenrant.com/batman-vs-superma ... dris-elba/ http://www.upi.com/Entertainment_News/M ... 388069767/ It's all over the internet. They are breaking comicbook tradition and considering a black Lex Luthor.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The stories all stress that it is just a rumour, though, and there's a big difference between being considered for a role and actually getting it. How many actors have been considered for Bond over the years?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The story is so radical it probably has merit and judging Hollywood these days it is probably correct.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
It is probably true that they are taking a "colour-blind" approach to casting. All I am saying is that it is a long way from "Denzel Washington is on a list of people who are possibly being considered for Luthor" to "Denzel Washington is the next Lex Luthor".bjmdds wrote:The story is so radical it probably has merit and judging Hollywood these days it is probably correct.

It's freezing here. Temperatures going down to 5 degrees Fahrenheit tonight
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I hate cold weather like this. Hollywood wants a black Lex Luthor it seems, be it Denzel or Idris. Let them ruin another piece of literary history.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Den of Geek is reporting that the role of Luthor has been offered to Joaquin Phoenix, though again, it is treating it as rumour rather than confirmed casting.

Forget Seagal as Bond
"Action-movie star Steven Seagal says he is considering a run for Arizona governor.
The "Marked for Death" actor told KNXV-TV that he is considering a shot at the state's highest office and has had a talk about the bid with the self-proclaimed toughest sheriff in America.
The 61-year-old made the comments while talking about his newly released reality series "Steven Seagal - Lawman: Maricopa County."
Seagal teamed up with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio for the show that was shot in Arizona and airs on cable TV's Reelz Channel.
The martial arts expert is a member of Arpaio's posse, made up of 3,000 unpaid civilians. He also has been deputized with sheriff's offices in New Mexico, Texas and Louisiana and says he wants to increase border security."

I wonder if Fat Seagal can still do EX4 if Sly wants him to. I still love to see him ripped to shreds and eviscerated with his intestines torn straight out.

Where would they show that in his films? He is his own producer.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
London, Jan 4 (ANI): Idris Elba has squashed rumors that he will be replacing Daniel Craig as James Bond in the next installment, saying there is 'no truth' to the rumours.
The 41-year-old actor told ITV's Lorraine that he has always detested the phrase "Black Bond", Metro.co.uk reported.
The 'Thor' star explained that people don't say "White Bond", they just say "Bond", and if it suddenly becomes a black man, people start calling him a "Black Bond".

The Broadway Revival of Betrayal, With Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Rafe Spall, Concluded it's limited run Jan. 5............ By MATT WINDMAN:
Theater review: 'Betrayal' -- 2.5 stars..........Although the unemotional, uneventful drama is one of the most accessible titles in the esteemed Pinter canon, any play of his requires an acquired taste in difficult, postwar English drama.
"Betrayal" exposes audience members to an affair between Emma (Weisz) and Jerry (Rafe Spall), who happens to be the best friend of Emma's husband Robert (Craig), through a series of scenes played out in reverse from 1977 to 1968.
Nichols' gloomy production features huge scenic pieces that fly up and down in between scenes, uncomfortably dwarfing this intimate drama.
But the real problem lies in the fact that Nichols never really captures the elusive spark of mystery found in the best Pinter revivals, such as the 2007 Broadway staging of "The Homecoming" and "The Caretaker" with Jonathan Pryce, which played BAM last year. (Cr-egg has NO roles now except for Bond 24, aka, Who The Hell Cares. Broccoli is probably desiring a Tony nomination for her creation to bolster her Bond casting resumes.)

'Unemotional and uninteresting' got to be a Daniel Craig production.
At least they ( somebody not Barbara ) finally learned not to make him the romantic lead.
