Predictions For The Next Movie
What predictions do you have for the next film? I know it's a little early but I have one.
I read "Moneypenny" (if you can call her that) would have a larger role in Bond 24, now that Mama M has been killed off, they need someone to micro-manage dullard Craig's Bond in the field, I predict that will be her new role.

Re: Predictions For The Next Movie
Going by the ending of Skyfall im thinking Bond 24 will some what be like a Connery era film. But then again thats wishfull thinking.
Plus i have a gut feeling that there may be a past villian returning in this movie.

Craig said it would be more like a classic-era film. But he said the same thing about QOS and Skyfall.Jamesdude wrote:Going by the ending of Skyfall im thinking Bond 24 will some what be like a Connery era film. But then again thats wishfull thinking.

I predict the film will be pretentious/dull and Craig will look like crap again. Doubtless it will get 97% or something on RT.

Re: Predictions For The Next Movie
Precisely! And it'll be just another street thug/street thug storyline dealing with mooks, and not even villains who are more worthy of becoming henchmen at the most. See how pathetic the newbies are becoming? All thanks to that evil queen of mediocrity, Miss Barbara "Baboon Horny Vegetable" Broccoli and her most disturbing political correctness that ruined the essence and the image of a great franchise. Expect Cr-egg going after promoting the British compartment in the rice market in B24. That would be their "lighter" tone for the movie. Hah. Pfft!dirtybenny wrote:Duh! Re: Predictions For The Next Movie
I predict that Craig will be retired/missing from MI6 and gone mad at the start of the film and he will be in a small mountain town with a beard, long hair and an old army coat. Has that been done before in any films/tv?

With Bond missing, M sends out Moneypenny to find him. Becaase Moneypenny wasn't field agent material in the last film, she's now a field agent. Makes sense, right?carl stromberg wrote:I predict that Craig will be retired/missing from MI6 and gone mad at the start of the film and he will be in a small mountain town with a beard, long hair and an old army coat. LOL! Stolen directly from Archer. LOL! I mean look at SkyFoul. They did the same thing. Archer went missing, grown a beard, living on an island, drunk... ring any bells, my dear chaps?Daltonite Toothpaste wrote:With Bond missing, M sends out Moneypenny to find him. Don't draw comparisons with Archer and Craig's era, Archer is brilliant. Archer might not have his priorities of drink, saving the world and women in the best order for the rest of us, but no one is perfect.John P. Drake wrote:LOL! Stolen directly from Archer. LOL! Re: Predictions For The Next Movie
Thought I'd dig up this thread as Bond 24 rumors are starting to fly.
I've got a feeling 24 will be a sort of OHMSS redux, we have skiing, Blofeld, an alpine village, and an exploding set located on a mountain side. Also a dash of GF as an "Oddjob" type henchman will be making an appearance. Of course this parody will all be justified by calling it an "homage", "call back", or "a nod to the brilliant original".

Re: Predictions For The Next Movie
Rumours are they're adapting the unused portions of "Octopussy" with Hannes Oberhauser's death and Bond wanting revenge.
Random theory I had was an Icebreaker film with the villain being a Nazi exile (Waltz) and a red head bond girl (Seydoux). Or maybe Colonel Sun with Waltz as von Richter and Seydoux as Ariadne Alexandrou. Just random theories, who knows...

Re: Predictions For The Next Movie
I'd like to see an Icebreaker film, it is one of my favourite Bond books. It would be a nice throwback if Bonds car was a Saab.
Re: Predictions For The Next Movie
It won't happen, EON don't own the rights to the continuation novels, and have said in the past, going all the way back to Colonel Sun, that there's no real incentive to buy them. It wouldn't add a single penny to the box office total, so from their point of view, it would just be money down the drain. The book The Bond Files noted that the film of TWSLM has several points of similarity to the plot of Colonel Sun, so why bother buying the rights when you can just plunder it anyway and file off the serial numbers?Daltonite Toothpaste wrote:I'd like to see an Icebreaker film, it is one of my favourite Bond books.
