For me, Quantum Of Solace still ranks as the worst.

Most over hyped Bond movie for certain and it's hard to beat CR. it's the third attempt to make bond begins and re-re-reintroduce Craig as "Bond"

IMO Spyfall makes it clear since 2006 it ms broccoli's Bond not Ian Flemings.

None of the Craig Bond are Bond. But if we are treating them as part of the official Eon series then it is difficult to choose as they are awful for distinctive reasons. CR was an awful reboot of the series with Craig playing a rookie Bond. QOS was a mess - even Craig admits it. SF suddenly had Craig as a jaded agent and had a made up Bond backstory. I would say Skyfall as Omega said it is the final nail in the coffin of the old series.

No, I think QOS was worse as well. Skyfall was an oddly schizophrenic film, unable to decide whether it wanted to be a return to classic Bond or an episode of Masterpiece Theatre. I think they've painted themselves into a corner for the next film. The final scene of SF seemed to be saying "Emo Bond is over! Classic Bond is back!" Yet the critics praised stuff like that Q scene and the bloody Tennyson reading. If they were to go back to "Now, do pay attention, 007, this may look like an ordinary watch....", they'd be absolutely crucified by the press and the fanboys.

QOS is the worst Craig:Bond, and is the second worst in the series (AVTAK is the worst). But Craig is at the bottom of my list of Bond actors. Even Brosnan, despite his deficiencies, wasn't that bad.

"Take the shot" sums it up. M from hundreds of miles away micro-managing action on the field. This is similar to the new Eon sitting far far away from the uniqueness and FUN of Bond.

I completely agree. Worst ever.

I thought things couldn't possibly get any worse after the dismal, dire, dreadful QoS, but Skyfall showed just how wrong you can be.
Just ease back now, Jim. Relaaax. Mr. Big wants to see you.

I agree Skyfall is all flash and no substance. Look at what the critics and fan boys love about it: the Shanghai fight scene in the high rise, it's just two shadows slap boxing in front of a bright light, yet to hear them talk it's high art. Silva's' entrance where Bardem glides across the room telling his long winded rat story with the campiest lisp imaginable, why this is applauded rather than ridiculed as homophobic is beyond me, especially in this P.C. world we live in. However I take comfort in the fact history will not be kind to this cinematic mess. Once the next one comes out it will be "Better than Skyfall" and Skyfall will be the "Second best Bond". When they mercifully change actors all the minions will turn on Craig and his films same as they did with Brosnan. Just as Die another day is now the "CGI Bond" Skyfall will be the "Home Alone Bond" and the "Gay Bond" While the new actor whomever they will be, shall be heralded as the "Best Bond Ever" and Craig's performance will be ridiculed as Brosnan's is today.

That's what I like to refer to as the James Bond Cycle.

Most definitely! I think Shaw was one of the most underrated and criminally underused actors of all time. You don't often see the level of intensity he brought to Doyle Lonigan in The Sting or Quint in Jaws and he's one of the many reasons FRWL is my favorite bond. I always get a kick out of the scene preceding the train fight, Grant holding Bond at gun point and he says "The first one won't kill you, nor the second, not even the third, not until you crawl over here and YOU KISS MY FOOT"!

How about you BJMDDS what's your opinion of Shaw?

Shaw also auditioned for the role of Sinbad in the Ray Harryhausen film The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (the film that landed Tom Baker the role of The Doctor). He didn't get it, but he did have a small but memorable (uncredited) role as The Oracle.

The question Is Skyfall the Worst Bond Movie? is a tough one comparing it QOS.
Here's my opinion...

1)Plot- QOS did make much sense. SF's plot was so stupid, childish, far fetched and didn't make much sense either.
Advantage- QOS, I'd rather be confussed then cursing at the movie for being stupid. Plus QOS was only an 1.5hrs compared to the 2.5 hrs of SF

2)Locations and scenery- QOS ugly dirty desert and an Opera house. SF had Hong Kong and Scotland
Advantage - SF, in all honesty it has great cinemaphotogrphy at certain points.

3)Action- QOS had tons but the quick editing and Bourne like feel take away. SF had Bond setting boobie traps.
Advantage- QOS

4)Girls- QOS has Olga and Gemma but Bond can't find stationary. SF has Bernice and Naomi who is Moneypenny and doesn't really count
Advantage- QOS because I like Gemma

5)Gadgets- QOS has??? SF has the hand print ID on the gun
Advantage- SF (barely)

6)Villian- QOS has Greene who's a twerp. SF has Silva who has funny hair, wants Bond in bed, and has Mommy issues.
Advantage- QOS

7)Henchmen- QOS has Elvis and the General. SF has the guy Bond fights in the shadows.
Advantage- QOS and not because of Elvis

8)Bond- QOS has Craig who's heartbroken. SF has Craig who's old and can't shoot or pass a physical.
Advantage- QOS

Quantum Of Solace is like one of those bad video game console add-ons in that it can't stand on its own. The film will not make much sense if the viewer hasn't seen Casino Royale first, although it's still a mess even if they have. Skyfall doesn't have this problem, however.
