It's worse than an Imperious Curse. It's a zombie virus created by the b1tch herself. That's why we have a Skyfall pandemic.

But Van Dyke recently revealed that he was offered the chance to play James Bond by Albert "Cubby" Broccoli, the producer who first brought 007 to the screen.

Van Dyke recently appeared on "The Kevin Pollock Chat Show," and in the course of a two-hour conversation, Van Dyke mentioned Broccoli making the surprising offer in 1968.

"I was doing 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,' and Sean Connery had spoken about leaving the Bond pictures, you know," Van Dyke said. "He had done several at the time. And Cubby Broccoli actually called me in [to his office] and asked me if I wanted to be Bond!"

Pollack immediately replied, "No, he didn't," but Van Dyke cheerfully shot back, "Yes, he did!" While on the subject on James Bond, Van Dyke weighed in on Daniel Craig, and it turns out he isn't a fan. While Van Dyke praised Craig as a "wonderful actor" with "great physicality," he said, "For some reason, he lacks the panache to be Bond for me."

Craig is already committed to the next two James Bond movies, the first arriving in 2015. But after he's done, perhaps the current producers of the Bond might consider giving Van Dyke another chance. Judging from his recent work, at 87 years of age he's still sharp, he has great timing, and he can dance. And he's even nimble enough to escape from a burning car.
Was there anyone Cubby didn't have lunch with who didn't get asked to do bond?

The man's right. It was made just because there was a "Daniel Craig" in it, to get some spotlight, now that wasn't the intention of the Swedish movies.

Dick Van Dyke joins the list of celebrities who dislikes Craig's fake Bond. We had a thread with list of celebrities who have criticised Craig but I can't find it.

Bryan Cranston weighs in on Lex Luthor rumors
Sept. 2, 2013, 10:29 AM EST

Actor Bryan Cranston has set the record straight over reports he is set to play Superman villain Lex Luthor, insisting he has not been cast in the coveted role.
The Hollywood star was said to have signed a deal to play the superhero's arch-nemesis in the upcoming "Man of Steel" sequel, but he insists the rumors are just that. He tells the Boston Globe, "This is all news to me." Cranston went on to joke that he was linked to the part because he sports a shaved head in hit TV drama "Breaking Bad," adding, "I think that maybe my name is bandied about because I'm known to be bald. 'What bald guy can we get?'

The reality is they can take any actor and shave his head or put a bald cap on him." Last month, Ben Affleck was confirmed for the part of Batman in the "Man of Steel" follow-up, and British actor Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman.

The Kevin Pollak Chat Show is a fun listen-it airs online, both on YouTube and elsewhere. Kevin Pollak recently had Bryan Fuller, the producer of Hannibal on recently and the interview went on for 2 plus hours and was *fascinating*.

I'm always very skeptical of "miracle cures that the pharmaceutical companies don't want you to know about". 99.9% of the time it's just pseudoscience that has never been subjected to any sort of testing process.

A new plot for Solo emerges online. A direct rip-off from the latest three installments in the film series... "Jason Bouring"... sigh...
It is 1969 and James Bond is about to go solo, recklessly motivated by revenge.

A seasoned veteran of the service, 007 is sent to single-handedly stop a civil war in the small West African nation of Zanzarim. Aided by a beautiful accomplice and hindered by the local militia, he undergoes a scarring experience which compels him to ignore M's orders in pursuit of his own brand of justic. Bond's renegade action leads him to Washington, DC, where he discovers a web of geopolitical intrigue and witnesses fresh horrors.

Even if Bond succeeds in exacting his revenge, a man with two faces will come to stalk his every waking moment.
Is it always about "personal" matters in the media, these days? Character driven stories, pointless flicks, boring ideas, the franchise should be axed.

[begin rant] I get really annoyed when I see people saying such and such health issue is related to a deficiency of minerals and if you just take these supplements it'll go away. There are also mineral creams that are purported to cure EVERYTHING. I don't think so. There is an element of snake oil to both of those. There are people who are so afraid of doctors/Big Pharma that they have come to rely on these supplements/creams/ what have you that they don't trust doctors. IMO that is very dangerous.

These are the same type of people who don't believe in vaccinating their kids for any sort of reason because vaccines have been linked to autism(never mind that that has been debunked a zillion times over).

They let their kids get chicken pox because it's "good" for kids to get chicken pox. Um, no, actually, it's not. Add to that you are at a very high risk of getting shingles later on in life. And shingles are WORSE. Same with whooping cough which has killed several children in my area. [/end rant]

Sorry....I feel really strongly about this.

So MP thinks this doctor is full of it? Why has Jerry remained silent for 3 years since they pulled a Brosnan on him and fired him for no reason?

I don't know is the simple answer. There could be a million and one reasons, and it doesn't prove anything. The efficacy of medicines is proved by clinical trials, not by the silence or otherwise of a celebrity.

The scary thing is, there are people who follow a person blindly even if the opinions they have are bullsh!t.

Jenny McCarthy is a good example of this;she believes that vaccines caused her son's autism. Thing is, the symptoms of her son's "autism" are similar to at least 4 or 5 other similar disorders. She also claims that she "cured" her son's autism. Like I said, the whole "vaccines cause autism" thing has been disproven several times over.

And now she's going to have a platform-one of the hosts of The View and quite frankly, that scares me. The View is watched by a lot of people, a lot of them housewives with children-or children on the way.

The View is on the TV at my gym sometimes-if I see it's on, I will ask them to change the channel.
