Looked like the storms merged and turned together.
I had not heard about the west coast getting hit too! But its like that when the yankee states get hit any and all the other states of the union are less important

I can't tell, all the news is east coast, if it was a blast of cold but normal they'd save it for monday if only to have a fresh story.Kristatos wrote:Maybe I was misinformed. Katie would knowDr. No wrote:

Yep, the West Coast storm was two storms that merged together. It was only "bad" if you were in the mountains or desert..they said that we were supposed to have a rainy winter but we haven't really.
Good weather during the day for now, but COLD at night.

I know lots of parts of the US has extreme weather but the New York area seems to have crazy weather too with very cold and hot spells, hurricanes, floods.

The South has always been prone to hurricanes and the like, but it seems to be heading northward, possibly due to climate change?Capt. family in the north and deeper south, those old enough to remember say its going back to the 1950 weather patterns where the north east was slammed by hurricanes.

Hurricanes are why I would never cruise in the Caribbean in the summer(hurricane season is late spring through November) but some people take the risk anyways.
They've had snow several times in Southern Louisiana where I have family-New Orleans and Baton Rouge have had snow.

The best Oscars was in 2004. Everything after that gets worse and worse. Now the Academy has given nominations to works done by pretentious creatures like Babs The B1tch, I'm done unless the B1tch herself casts WWE wrestlers from the British Isles or actors with ethnic background. After all, if a Bond movie starring DC can get Oscar nominations (technical if not major), why not Bond films starring Sheamus or Idris?bjmdds wrote:FBF, rent Shane on dvd. That's Oscar acting

I live in a part of England where there is no extreme weather. Parts of England seem to be flooded badly every year.

So the whoring of the series for awards has been a sucess? Now, can we have a classic (proper classic, not SF faux classic) Bond next...Kristatos wrote:Skyfall won the BAFTA for outstanding British picture. Blah blah blah Irish wrestler blah blah blah NO EXCEPTIONS etc etc ad bloody nauseum.
