I was wrong about MI6, I won't deny that. Bond and Beyond allows users to voice their opinions without any pressure faced in larger forums like MI6. Heck, for what it's worth there's a good segment of anti-Craig folks over there.
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
MI6 ensured its own destruction by going to that faux Facebook format. It was in trouble a long time before that though. Dunno what they thought they were doing. I haven't bothered to look for a while-don't want to. I even gave up on Commander Bond(and I had a change of heart there, too-the color scheme there IS ugly, and it's hard to read. That is true.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I left MI6 in March 2011 when the Facebook change happened and when several mods like Luds told veterans to piss off whenever they criticized the site for the way they handled the change. I did try to revisit it last Summer because there were still very few good folks I missed chatting with, but only lasted about a day or two and a lot of them had left on hiatus. You know a forum is mundane when there are over a dozen threads about how Christopher Nolan should get the gig.

Outrageous!! Like London prices.Napoleon Solo wrote:My movie theater has a bar. It was promoting a Skyfall drink, which included two different fruit juices in addition to the alcohol. Price: $10.75. I took a pass.

Your last comment, `....pass', I wondered if you really meant to put an `i' instead of an `a'.

Will somebody put a stake through Taken 2 already!! The movie refuses to die.
This weekend estimates, I thought the north east theaters being out be more of a factor.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I wonder if anybody would like it when the time came to sit down to watch it. So many hopes and dreams pinned to him as the ultimate Bond director he could never live up to expectations even with a good script and cast. Kind of why Mendes got a pass so far, nobody thought he was a perfect choice so when he didn't bourne it to death action cam style it won over a lot of fans, in the Uk at least. But the reviews on this film is so mixed, I don't think it's the ultimate Bond film at best an average one, maybe an average Craig Bond film which may have to be its own grading term.katied wrote:Nolan's good, but not 12 threads good.
I had a MI6 account but after they deleted it when they went with the weird new look I figured screw them. It was getting to be too elitist anyway I don't know if it was MI6 that changed or my attitude towards them. I still stop by other Bond fan forums not as much as I used to but, mostly I haunt movie forums.
Speaking of which, slow cranking all the old Bond films have it was that like the Bourne cam of it's day? Is there any way to restore the actions scenes to normal speed if they wanted?

Bo mojo is saying Skyfall will have 3400 theaters, don't know how many screens, if that number is correct it is fewer than CR or QOS had.

The Bond drink sounds overly sweet to me.Replace the Triple Sec with vodka, and then maybe I'd try it.
I think I mentioned San Diego was getting a branch of the Arclight movie theater chain..well, it's open. And tickets are $20. Even so,I'm tempted to go, just once, to say I've gone.

I do a few posts on MI6 but get some abuse when I "criticise" Daniel Craig. One time MI6 moderator Benny/Captain Nash said he hoped I had not logged in to cause trouble on MI6 which was bit cheeky coming from him.

What's in the Skyfall drink? Lot's of lemon juice to reflect Craig's facial expression. I'd imagine it's rather bland too to reflect his Bond.

If EON thinks Bond 23 will cheat it's way through in beating QOS' US numbers, send in the freaks as Bond once DC retires.bjmdds wrote:Omega wrote:Bo mojo is saying Skyfall will have 3400 theaters, don't know how many screens, if that number is correct it is fewer than CR or QOS had.

Eon must realize DC is not popular here and adjusted for that. FBF, what say yee? Q, your thoughts?

That sounds about right..knowing how Nash can be. I'm so glad he's not posting here anymore. Some of the comments that have been made about Skyfall would put him in a tizzy .

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
'Skyfall' will open in an estimated 3,400 locations next weekend, which is about on par with 'Quantum's 3,451 theaters. For such an a historic anniversary debut? LESS theaters here than QOS?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
My older brother saw skyfall, unfortunately he liked it, but said it was a different kind of bind, tried to convince Me to see it (but that's not gonna happen), stated Javier bardem was great, Fiennes was a good m but him and his misses stated that he only had one more film left in him since he looks really old and haggered and stated this is the kind of bond that should be today not the bond that I liked, q was good etc and it had the car, he also hated the motherly bond with m which he stated was stupid and thrown in there out of nowhere.
I stated it copied the dark knight, I know what happened in it, he also stated that the bond girls are rubbish today (same with his misses) but they're supposed to be like that now, I stated bond isn't supposed to be incredibly serious or look like jeremy kyle.
It's a real shame, he hated qos, said craig wasn't right either as bond then he goes back and changes his mind, thanks a bloody bunch eon you beeptards, still the hobbit's the one for Me, not watching some waxed lyrical political bs bond who has it both ways, has a man pretty much advance on him and the rest, eon can shove this franchise up their well laid ass.
I hate that people say the old bond wouldn't be reaslistic in todays world and isn't hardened enough like creeeeygg...arrrgh, I feel like leaving altogether, those sanctimonious aholes from eon have won and killed bond for Me well and truly, stupid bloody pc gritty society today, thanks for killing a part of My childhood
, sad thing is this turd will do just as well everywhere else, it's over guys, it was since 2005, the franchise has been buried by a horny green vegetable and directors who believe this series is now a beeping piece of art that should be in a museum.
Rot in hell eon and brocoli, thanks for nothing.

Where are you going Shaken? The reinvention of Bond by Eon's spoiled brats is a disgrace but the public's acceptance of it is more disturbing. Shaken, the Imperious curse has fallen on your brother. FBF knows what I mean. Help your brother see the light........cross over children.......cross over......into the light

OK, but always return to our fortress of solitude to discuss the chaos and insanity of those who admire the destruction of the iconic franchise to rubble. Do you take medicine for the pain?
