I think its safe to send in the wierdos now FBF...because Skyfall globally will be huge in BO sales. There is no point in try to sugar coat this and make you guys believe Skyfall is going to flop massively.....the first week in Europe should give you an idea of how this film will do overall. A flop this will not be.

I think its safe to send in the wierdos now FBF...because Skyfall globally will be huge in BO sales. There is no point in try to sugar coat this and make you guys believe Skyfall is going to flop massively.....the first week in Europe should give you an idea of how this film will do overall. A flop this will not be.

I never thought it would be a flop. I do want to see if the increase is beyond ticket-price inflation.

Bond has a very stable, loyal audience. But some of my Bond friends get defensive with the mere suggestion it's not as popular as 1965. There has been some hype that Skyfall will have $1 billion in ticket sales, which would match the last two Batman movies. As best I can tell, that originated with one story that quoted one person saying she "saw no reason" it couldn't match the Dark Knight Rises but she never mentioned a figure.

Put it this way: if it eventually sells, say, $750 million to $800 million in tickets, that's a solid success. But some fans might be disappointed it didn't make $1 billion.

I'm looking forward to the new Star Wars films too....but then I am allowed to like both franchises.

Taking Lucas out of the equation is probably the best thing for the franchise. He ruined the new Star Wars films and Indy 4 with his CGI obsession.

Maybe Disney could get Bond if they pay out 4 billion to the parties involved. Still I don't see how it would fit in with their family friendly image. The Kiss Kiss Bang Bang ride would be a hit at Disneyland

She could have been talking about the UK market alone.
I'll agree if it can do over 700m it will be a solid success. About the upper range of what can be expected.

What will be the deciding fact is how the other world markets hold on, Avengers and Dark Knight had strong weekly sales with a month or more of being in the top 4 each week.

From the early reports it looks like it standard fair Bond stuff. We'll see this weekend if any of the new markets do a UK and how well the ones already open hold over.

Spider-Man fans were surprised Thursday to learn that Jamie Foxx is circling a role in director Marc Webb’s sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man.

Variety broke the news on Thursday, confirming that the Oscar-winner is in talks to play the villain Electro, a character that can control and wield electricity.

Should Foxx lock down the part, he’ll join returning stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in the sequel, which hits theatres May 4, 2014.

Whether you love or loathe the new Bond films and its star Craig in them.............there's one thing, the public are buying into it.

Apparently as reported Skyfall has taken an alltime BO record in the UK for a weeks takings ie $60million....beating all the previous HP records, and they had the advantage of 3D revenues.

There was certainly a lot of advertising for Bond this time around here. I mean apart from Radio, TV and magazines....when i was in London last week there were posters of Skyfall on the buses, on the underground tube stations...etc.

I did read one funny article on the web, saying that BB and MGW were so delighted with the early financial success of Skyfall, that they decided to have an extra biscuit at their teabreak on Monday morning!

I am in a lucky spot but beachfront property is destroyed and gas lines are ridiculous. SIX hour waits for gas. Governor Cuomo and Mayor DOOMberg are useless. All talk, no action, and that bloated fake bum Christie allowed the NJ unions to throw out volunteer utility workers from Alabama because they were not unionized and then made up some bogus reasoning. I told you Christie is a jerk, a baby, and spoiled jackass who wants so much to be Rudy after 911, but never will be. Christie does not care suddenly about the election? After his photo-op he went to eat a hero sandwich and Oh-bama went to Las Vegas and Janet Napolitano has been a waste.
