I think Lewis Gilbert is getting a lot of votes.

I don't think I or anyone else would want to use the Bond villains as seen in CR and QoS. Sure the CR villains are from the book but they sucked on screen.
I wasn't sure with the Blofeld after looking at them Donald Pleasence would be my choice every time. He scares the crap out of me the others don't.Do you folks who answered "Blofeld" have an actor you prefer playing the role?

Here is my "anti-Dream Team", and the rule is can only be made up of people associated with EON from 1962-2002 (i.e. No Craig Era)
James Bond: Timothy Dalton I understand his appeal, but I like a lighter Bond.
Arch Nemesis: Jonathon Pryce He was very annoying as Eliot Carver. Maybe that was his intention? If so, it worked.
Bond Henchman/woman: Whisper He just was too non-threatening for a henchman. A portly man in a red shirt and denim jeans who can't speak above a whisper? He just wasn't effective.
Bond Girl: Tanya Roberts I had mentioned that in an earlier post that Britt Ekland was the worse, but watching her Bond film recently changed my mind. Roberts now edges her out. She is more annoying.
Director: Lee Tamahori Just can't get into his style of directing.

I know that this will upset a lot of people, but I've got to be honest. I like Dalton, but he just so happens to be my least favorite.John Drake wrote:John Drake » Thu Apr 07, 2011 1:39 am

Remember I forced myself to pick from 1962-2002. That excludes Craig. Craig is my least favorite and I consider his reboot era apocryphal to the Bond canon.

Oh, I see. I thought you'd gone mad there for a moment! I like TD. I think he had a great introduction in the Gibraltar sequence.Bond77 wrote:I know that this will upset a lot of people, but I've got to be honest. It is a great introduction, I wish CR had gone that way. The excitement in the first 10 minutes of CR was around the actions other figures not Bond.John Drake wrote:Oh, I see. I can't believe some the posts we got back!
We are missing some important post nothing that can't be redone if we chose.

Yes, I hope that people will repost their list(s) if they have been lost. I am thinking of some ways to add to thread too. Let me know if you or anyone else have any ideas.Blowfeld wrote:I can't believe some the posts we got back!

Barbara Broccoli would be a great villain. Playing herself.

Re: 007 Film "Dream Team": You Pick the Starting Five
I love this thread
So
James Bond: Roger Moore
-For me Roger is the best Bond of all.
Arch Nemesis: Joseph Wiseman (Dr. No)
- could have said Christopher Walken but he has already starred in AVTAK with Roger.
- I thought Dr.No was one of the coolest villains of all and I think his story could be expanded somewhat from what is told to is in dr.No
Henchman: Famke Janssen (Xenya Onatopp)
- she was incredibly hot
Bond girl: honey rider
- same as above
Director: probably John Glen
The film would have a mega budget, would have a score by John Barry with Morton Harket accompanying the Berlin philharmonic orchestra. I'll try to think of a name and plot some other time.

Re: 007 Film "Dream Team": You Pick the Starting Five
James Bond: Roger Moore is my most favourite, but Sean Connery would definitely be my second choice.
Arch Nemesis: Hmmm, that's a tough one. I guess I would say Blofeld, since I would love to see Roger take on the super villain in his prime, not like in For Your Eyes Only. Goldfinger and Max Zorin would be another couple of cool choices for me.
Henchman/Woman: Oddjob, but Jaws, May Day, and Xenia Onatopp would be some other favourite picks.
Bond Girl: Melina Havelock or Natalya Simonova.
Director: John Glen
Music would be composed by John Barry, because he's awesome.

Re: 007 Film "Dream Team": You Pick the Starting Five
I suppose I should be more specific and say Telly Savalas would be my choice for Blofeld. I thought he made a pretty good Blofeld in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and I like the fact that he actually goes after Bond himself.
Just a thought, but perhaps Bond allies could be added to the list. I would definitely pick Patrick Macnee who played as Sir Godfrey Tibbett in A View To A Kill. Of course, he would play a bigger part and not get killed off. I'm a fan of The Avengers and The Saint TV series, so I think it would be cool to have Roger Moore and Patrick Macnee team up in a Bond film.
