More future proof: "Naomie Harris has given Idris Elba http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/10/ ... 06x715.jpg her vote for him to become the first black James Bond.
The Skyfall actress said that she believes the Luther star would be well suited to role after she worked alongside him Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
Harris, 36, also revealed that the Elba had been in talks with 007 producer Barbara Broccoli about the potential to become the secret agent."

What if she likes Daniel Craig and covers her bedroom in Daniel Craig memorabilia in future years?Skywalker wrote:A proud moment!!
For those of you with a SKY Movies subscription it’s a pretty good time to be a Bond fan especially if you have HD. A couple of days ago, I was sat on the sofa finishing off some work whilst casually watching Moonraker. My oldest girl (2 and a half) came in, sat down beside me and started watching it. Normally she would just ask for ‘Toy Story’ or ‘Finding Nemo’ but instead she was transfixed to the screen. I informed her that that the character on screen was James Bond. Later on that evening (following bath time) she openly asked for Bond again in preference to anything else.

This review is a bit critical of Skyfall. The reviewer says Craig looks like a garden gnome!!

Once people see the transformed characters and not recognize them, they won't be running back. It seems the entire second half of this film drags on and just like it's opening box office weekend, the longer it goes, the steeper it will drop off. ------- "Screenwriter John Logan has been hired to write Bond 24, and he will pen it on his own.
On Skyfall, he was brought in by director Sam Mendes and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli to re-write the existing Skyfall screenplay that had been created by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.
Purvis and Wade had worked on a total of five Bond pictures, starting with 1999’s The World Is Not Enough — which is a strong record — but they felt it was time to move on. ‘They’ve had a tremendous run,’ an executive associated with the pair told me.
The outline for Bond 24 is a closely held secret and so far just Wilson, Broccoli, Craig and trusted aides know the storyline for the film featuring Ian Fleming’s ‘blunt instrument’.

Could mean he is in talks about being a 00 agent not Bond. He's a great actor he'd be better as a boss than a Bond like Craig getting yelled at by his mother.bjmdds wrote:More future proof: "Naomie Harris has given Idris Elba http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/10/ ... 06x715.jpg her vote for him to become the first black James Bond.

this is interesting.
This a real negotiation or a Garfield Spider-man negation. Where they have the job but they act like it's huge success and big deal they came backReturning Skyfall cast members are expected to enter into negotiations to reprise their roles over the next few months.

Stars talk about their favorite Bonds
"I remember seeing Dr No and was just amazed by it," said Taken 2 star Neeson. Paul Bettany added: "My favorite, just because I grew up with him, is Sean Connery."
Paranormal Activity 4's Katie Featherston admitted that her 007 of choice is Pierce Brosnan.
"He's the one I remember watching when I was growing up. He's the one when I first think of James Bond," she said.
Star Trek's Karl Urban was one of many stars to voice his admiration for Daniel Craig: "Sean Connery is the original and he's amazing, but I love what Daniel Craig has done with Bond."

"early word on Skyfall has it that it is one of the best Bond movies in its 50 year history" ------------------------------- I wish. It's easily one of the worst, and I paid good money to see 'Die Another Day' so I remember that disappoint well. I attended the preview of Skyfall on Wednesday in the Savoy, and was disappointed to say the least. What's worse, is that I was bored - and I'm a huge Bond fan. The final hour drags, and the denouement is a paint-by-numbers, cliched setup seriously unworthy of the Bond franchise. So, avoiding any spoilers whatsoever, a few thoughts: As the credits rolled, I was impressed: Bardem, Fiennes, Deakins, Baird, Newman, Logan, and Mendes. Alas, it was not to be, and unfortunately the whole is not greater than the sum of its parts. Craig is fine as 007, it's the plot, script and tone that lets him down. The plot is one of THE worst ever in Bond history, and I mean bad. It's weak. It's way too limited in scope. And it's painfully uninteresting. I cannot believe that Sam Mendes signed up as director upon the strength of this storyline. Perhaps it was the draw of Bond, and so, he committed to directorial duties with any script sight unseen. Bardem is fantastic, but severely underused (as is new Bond girl, Marlohe). While Dench is annoyingly curt throughout, and overused. As for the tone, it's a mishmash of espionage thriller coupled with a dry, stale overview of government policy (no, seriously), and The Office. Needless to say I was underwhelmed as to where the writers, producers and director decided to take Bond23. Carly Simon once sang "Nobody Does It Better", sadly, in today's competitive market of action, spy, heroes, stunts and humour, many others do, in fact, do it better. Far better. My rating: 2/5:. A superb opening sequence. Bardem. And a nice cameo from an old friend. And one final thought: I really miss Monty Norman's iconic theme from the Craig-era Bonds. Why not play it in its entirety at the most opportune moments? It barely features in Skyfall, and that is such a shame.

Daniel Craig is an ABSOLUTLEY HORRIBLE BOND! Seriously, im tired of all this '' BEST BOND EVA '' nonsense. With Craig they took a character that was famous for being suave, sophisticated, charming, and full of dry wit and turned him into a BLONDE BOUNCER THUG! Craigs Bond is an absolutley disgusting human being who often acts like a murderous psychopath and in fact looks like a Bond villain. Maybe some day they will actually make James Bond films again when they ditch Craig from the series.

This originated with, you guessed it, Baz Bagigmoye (not sure of spelling) in the Daily Mail:bjmdds wrote:Once people see the transformed characters and not recognize them, they won't be running back. It should be noted that Baz (like Sam Mendes) does not lack for self esteem. A quote:
//The rather unloved Quantum Of Solace took £15.4 million in its first weekend in 2008, but Skyfall has been enjoying phenomenal word of mouth and has (apart from a couple of dissenting voices) collected admiring five-star reviews, including the one I wrote for the Mail Online that was quoted around the globe.//
I'm reminded of some old Warner Bros. cartoons. Wile E. Coyote, evidently tired of chasing the Road Runner, decided to go after Bugs Bunny. But in these cartoons, Wile E. Coyote spoke in an exaggerated, erudite way and handed out business cards that read, "Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius." He'd say, "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Wile E. Coyote, SOOOOOPER-Genius."

Even James Bond isn't immune to the soul stirring effects of Adele's voice.
Daniel Craig told Yahoo Movies he was moved to tears first time he heard Adele's "Skyfall," a song he felt "perfectly" matched the feel of the movie.
"I cried," said Craig. "From the opening bars I knew immediately, then the voice kicked in and it was exactly what I'd wanted front the beginning."
"It just got better and better because it fitted the movie. In fact the more of the movie we made, the more it fitted it."

Lets see what Friday brings in real world numbers then we'll know. Got all my charts ready, bring it!

FYI some of the UK BO projections are a standard third increase.

I want to know if the gun barrel sequence is at the beginning of the movie and also is it the same one as the end of QoS.

The gunbarrel sequence will be at the end of Skyfall, just like Quantum Of Solace. Apparently, it's supposed to symbolize the end of the prequel, and that Craig has finally become Bond or some nonsense like that. But that was exactly what some people were saying about Quantum's gunbarrel sequence being placed at the end, so it really doesn't make much sense.Jermaine76 wrote:I want to know if the gun barrel sequence is at the beginning of the movie and also is it the same one as the end of QoS.

Except, there's a conflicting alternate explanation. That the first shot by Roger Deakins was just so great, it would have been marred by the gunbarrel and there was just no alternative. The Saint 007 wrote:The gunbarrel sequence will be at the end of Skyfall, just like Quantum Of Solace. Of course, if that were the case, there would have been a way to do it. Go back to the early days (From Russia With Love, Goldfinger), where Bond shoots, the gunbarrel becomes a dot again, gets smaller, screen goes black for a second then cut to the first shot.
