He doesn't actually give you anything other than the same cold stare and emotionless dialogue. He's a blank slate. Now, being a blank slate, you can read some deep meaning into his performance, but I can just as reasonably read into his performance that he's an emotionless psycho who should be working for the bad guys.

There was a famous experiment where people were shown the same picture, of a Russian silent movie star who was known for his expressionless face, a dozen times and asked what emotion he was expressing in this picture. Most of them gave a different answer each time, even though it was the same picture. Echoes of the Craig phenomenon?

Hadn't thought of this......
Could be.
A couple of scenes in CR at some fan spots it was oh he so is or so this or that I couldn't see it he kind of seemed sullen or I don't know what but not the next Laurence Olivier.

In the trailer for Skyfail. they do the old shot of craig walking in shadow, only to stop when the
light shows his eyes.
Firstly I'd say this isn't very inventive and it says much when a director wants to show as little
of the lead actor's face as possible.

I love how Hitler would prefer watching 2girls1cup to QOS! Even better is how that one woman then says, "I'd rather watch that too".

Favorite Bond Movie: My top 7 (or should I say, 007!): FYEO, FRWL, TWINE, NSNA, TLD, GE, OP
But really, any Bond film with Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton or Brosnan is fine.
Favorite Movies: Lawrence of Arabia, Silence of the Lambs, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, My Fair Lady, Beauty and the Beast, In Bruges, Ripley's Game, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Life of Brian, Dirty Harry
