LMAO. I am just laughing at the whole bunch of news. The beer stuff is just despicable. The M stuff is ridiculous. This thing is getting worse by the minute. And Craig looks worse than ever, but that's not news.

This is a morose film Pam......not a SHRED of fun escapism in it. M being killed? Funerals? Estates on fire? Utter trash. FBF, NO need for Jerry et al......from the beer to the plot this film is going down in flames at the box office with the Bond family sanctuary, Adele or no Adele :!:

http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-tal ... 21696.html "The beer jeers got more detailed on Facebook with an overwhelmingly negative response in the comments area—though the update was also met with dozens of likes—which is, admittedly, open to interpretation. "SACRILIGE!" (sic) wrote Joshua Mallet, emphatically in all caps. David Newman, apparently deflated by the news, wrote, "Ugh"." Negative word already spreading 7 months before the film is released. The social media will bury this rubbish before it is even premiered :!:

I think they're missing a trick, Bond should also ask for a packet of Pork scratchings with the Beer, Then ask
for the set of Dominos, as he ties up his whippet.
Bond used to be a class act, Emphasis on USED.

Cr-egg=classLESS from day one's river front debacle at the introduction. The green one actually thinks he is class. That's the problem and MGW is also clueless.

I seriously hope they don't go they bad fan fic route and have Bond get hypnotized to kill M.That's been suggested on more than a few occasions but it's the most sh!t idea ever.

Very cheap theatrics to kill M for a movie. Very disappointed in the Bond team this is beneath them and Bond.

What? I thought he was supposed to be Q. I'd be happier if he was not Q just because I have such fond memories of Desmond Llewelyn.

Q, IMDB has the AWFUL budget at $150 million. Factoring in all costs, what does this trash have to do worldwide to break even, $500 million? If so, it will break even because ticket prices are higher now than in 2008 and Eon will claim DC made a profit, when in fact, MI:4 did almost $700 million by comparison. They desperately want to claim a profit here to justify the green one's obsession staying on forever.

They are really going to have to keep a better kid on spoilers. The whole "Killing M" thing is going to be very polarizing, I can tell, as there are just as many people who would like to see her killed off as there are people who think she should hand the job over to someone else and retire.

? Where did you get this?

Under $150 was the assumption pre MGW saying they were getting $230m.
The make or break will be the advertising budget is if like CR and Quark it will be $170 to $200 million, only a guess but Skyfall should be a $300 million movie easy, pushing $400 million as Quark did will not turn a profit. We've gone over how the math works on this, at this point we have to wait and see what the numbers are and what the market will provide for ticket sales. It's long break, featuring an actor who established himself with a string of bad flops (a flop might be forgivable, bad flops not so much ), and there already some controversy about the story (and look of the movie). If this were Bond 23 featuring a new actor I think they hype would be building with an expectation higher of BO.

The part about keeping Craig on nobody seems to get is it only gets more and more expensive to keep him on (base salary plus a percentage) -most importantly Babs is not the one who has to dig deep to find the cash for this. Danno is contracted for four movies total, completing the third gives MGM some new options. MGW and Craig have established EON's position -they'd like to keep doing this so when MGM tries to 86 Babs boy lollipop there will be a bloody fight somewhere on some level. Craig will have to pick his battles; support Babs and lose whatever is left of his career or go away nicely and get tossed a bone every now n' then. Same thing Braozza had to consider when EON screwed him over, even as far as negotiating in bad faith with him, attacking his legacy, lying about why he was "fired", then twisting his comments to support the fair haired plumber from Yugoslav when he never said any such thing. Brozza played nice as a result he found some traction for his post Bond career.

When a new Bond is picked it will be a different story than it was in 2004 when Bond 21 was supposed to come out or 2005 when Babs was dragging her feet on production, the question I'm interested in is can the partnership be maintained between MGM and EON in the new financial realities.

Hollywood was different in 2004 they assumed things like the DVD market could only go upwards as would the next gen disc format, when EON turns out an expensive movie in 2002 but one that held a very high profit margin for the studio (setting records ), it affords the producers a certain amount of good will and a free(er) hand. Post Craig the realities are very different MGM has almost died twice, partners on Bond were burned financially, and the money Bond brings to the table is important but not the windfall it once was.

There is lot going on but we are soon getting to the point where the war of personalities behind the scenes is going to come to the forefront.

Does Craig's Bond die in Skyfall? If so then it may be worth watching.

I wonder if Craig will throw M's Body in to a near by skip.

and to show what they're doing to a once great series of movies. I think D Craig should
go to M's grave and Piss all over it.
