Lord Sugar on James Bond

Lord Sugar is the guest editor of this week's Radio Times, and in a section entitled "Lord Sugar On...The Movies", he has this to say (I've copied the text formatting from the magazine as closely as the forum software will allow):

MY FAVOURITE ACTOR: "When I saw the first Bond film, Dr No, back in 1963 I loved it. Sean Connery was the best Bond - all of the others since have been rubbish. Total rubbish. Apart from Roger Moore. Daniel Craig? He's useless."

Well, I agree with the last bit, but I'd find it easier to take him seriously if he hadn't dismissed Dalton and Brosnan into the bargain (Lazenby I can live with). Or said any of the thousands of other stupid things he's said over the years.

OK he probably is real guy I can't help thinking he is made up in a Count Chocula sort of way.

I can see how people would rate Connery as tops, when the movies came out it was unique and veyr much of the times. As other actors took the on Bond the movies changed, it was not the same series a few films in to it and I think the first few movies and Connery cement themselves as the way Bond ought to be.. The other actors have their own strength but were not able to over come the weakness of the series, Pierce Brosnan was great as Bond but the producers were too scared to let him be Bond, he talked about being a guy in suit on set waiting for the word action. Craig said something like this in QOS . I think the time Bond was dynamic and exciting to the times it was made was the early 1960s, I think there was good actors like Dalton and Pierce who just never got a fair chance to make a real Bond movie like COnnery used to make.

up for me a crap song for a crap show.

I've not watched the UK Celebrity Apprentice but did see that Tom Green was on the US one! I thought he was going to do some practical jokes on it.
