http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/entertainme ... es-report/ RIP Davy Jones. This is shocking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q50bzszAtmg I will see Mickey Dolenz in 3 weeks at the Beatles fest. I am sure he will do a dedication. http://www.page2live.com/2009/09/16/mon ... ied-again/ After reading this, I would suspect Viagra was involved seeing as that he married a girl 32 years younger than him and his family and friends never attended the wedding. http://icydk.com/wp-content/uploads/201 ... 242378.jpg

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
8 p.m.
CBS: "NCIS" (18 million viewers, 11.2/17 households)
FOX: "American Idol" (15.6 million, 9.2/14)
NBC: "The Biggest Loser" (5.5 million, 3.4/5)
ABC: "Last Man Standing" (7.4 million, 4.4/7)/"Cougar Town" (4.3 million, 2.7/4)
The CW: "Hart of Dixie" rerun (893,000, 0.6/1)
18-49 leader: "American Idol" (4.9)
9 p.m.
FOX: "American Idol" (16.1 million, 9.5/14) Idol is done from what it was. It lost big time to NCIS, yet Zap2it is spinning Idol as a hit. Nigel must be paying them. I watched the last 4 minute recap last night. ALL male singers are putrid, the worst ever, and the three judges are spinning them as hot. It won't work. DWTS will premiere in 3 weeks and shake up both the Voice and Idoll's ratings.

Ahahah that photo did lift my spirits it's so unintentionally funny it made me smilebjmdds wrote:Glad Ms. Bouvier is back.......this should lift her spirits...... http://bestmoviesevernews.com/wp-conten ... 346975.jpg Smash is a smash for NBC, not the rest of the major networks in terms of ratings. NBC is so bad that they proudly welcome 6.5 million viewers for ANY of their programming. The heads at NBC are as clueless as the Three Mush-keteers, Pascal, MGW, and the green vegetable running the Bond franchise. You wonder how and why these people are still in their power positions.
I'm well aware Smash is a smash for NBC, and with this numbers it wouldn't be for other networks, but that's the only thing that matters! LOL Had it been on CBS, stay assured it would have had at least 4 mln viewers more a week in average. it's because at this point people just don't watch NBC because they have had too much reality stuff for too long. It's sad really because this is a GREAT show and it deserves big ratings. But like I said, too clever and too theater-oriented for most I think. Still, had it been on another network it would have had higher ratings, if only because people watch other networks more. In any case, it's fine, because NBC is happy and that's all that matters
Idol has a bad pool of contestants... again. The Voice has an amazing number of great people. It's like no contest between the two shows. The only reason why Idol still has those numbers is that it's an established show, so people will watch it regardless. But I'm unsure how much longer it can keep up.

Bond 23 is shaping up to be a boring, predictable plot, disaster.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo : $2.4 million/ $124.3 million: This past weekend's international gross was only $2.4 million and it's total international gross is only $124 million. It's done. Sequel? I doubt it. Reports it cleared $300 million worldwide were bogus.Mazer Rackham wrote:TGWTDT was not the awards darling it was supposed to be Sony sunk a ton of cash into it and has not seen the reward for it financially or otherwise. Sony misjudged the marker rushing to make TGWTDT, the original plan of one Millennium Trilogy movie each year made sense if they were a hit, pushing back to 2013 or 2014 for the next sequel is a little too far away to keep the public interest.
A series like Batman, Potter or Bond can afford to have lulls in production but you'll notice in the most successful times these franchises stay in constant production. Even a two or three year gap the work never stops. Potters were filming back to back and only delayed for financial reasons that made sense to the studio.

Rooney had turned down roles last fall to be in the sequel and now she don't know if they are making it. Sucks for her but she does have some big roles coming up.bjmdds wrote:Girl with the Dragon Tattoo : $2.4 million/ $124.3 million: This past weekend's international gross was only $2.4 million and it's total international gross is only $124 million. Third film featuring the Hulk. The first two went nowhere, with Norton's better than Bana's moronic storyline.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Pinewood Shepperton studios slumped to a £3.9m loss in 2011 after it failed in an attempt to build replicas of Paris, New York and Amsterdam on green belt land.
The studios enjoyed record revenues of £50.7m in 2011, up by 17 per cent after it filmed scenes for movies such as The Hobbit and the next James Bond film, Skyfall. But it took an exceptional charge of £7.1m reflecting five years of costs for its "Project Pinewood" application, which officials turned down in January. This pushed the company, which is majority owned by the property group Peel Holdings, £3.9m into the red, after profits of £5.8m the previous year.
Project Pinewood would have seen the creation of a "purpose-built" film set with 1,400 permanent homes inside the streetscape buildings at Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire. The project would have cost £200m and created almost 1,000 jobs in the next 10 years, with 420 affordable homes offered inside the film sets. But it was fiercely resisted by campaigners.
The Pinewood and Shepperton studios have been home to more than 1,500 films in the last 75 years, while the two studios and the company's Teddington site have hosted more than 600 television shows.
