He feels about the Trek reboot the same way we feel about the corrupted Bond reboot. And he's not even please to see Abram's Trek got nominated by the Oscars, which is all tech stuff. I think this all had to do with Abrams' way of doing Trek. He had pictures of angry protesters of new Trek on FB. If he hates it, he hates it. But he praised the movies' soundtrack. As for me, I love the new Trek, but to consider it as the best of the series seems rather unfair to the original 10 (of which First Contact is my personal favorite).bjmdds wrote:Your friend hates it, correct, but you love it?

I only saw TPM 3D once, and I will do the same for AOTC 3D. As for the rest, I will see it 3+ times at the very least.Blowfeld wrote:A travesty FBF. And oh yeah, leave Khan out of the sequel. There's only one Khan, and that's Ricardo Montalban.

What about Cr-egg as a rogue Klingon? SMASH is headed in the wrong direction for NBC and it follows their best show on tv but it is losing "millions" of viewers each week, now down to 6.5 million. So much for Broadway on tv with Mcpheever I guess. Italy won't be pleased with this I bet: CBS: "Hawaii Five-0" (10.2 million, 6.4/10)
ABC: "Castle" (9.65 million, 6.2/10)
NBC: "Smash" (6.5 million, 4.1/7) The news for Smash wasn't good falling another half a point with adults 18-49 to a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating, which is below The Bachelor. Once that occurs, it's history more or less.

Here's another quote from SKYFALL director Sam Mendes' videoblog: "I think it is still possible to make a big, entertaining, fabulous, glamorous movie and yet at the same time to say something about the world that we’re living in." An idiotic statement. I knew Mendes was a loser for Bond. The jerk just does not get it.

What is this supposed to mean in relation to Bond? I don't see how the Bond and a economic crisis can share the same screen."I think it is still possible to make a big, entertaining, fabulous, glamorous movie and yet at the same time to say something about the world that we’re living in."
Didn't they say QOS would have a more realistic plot and it turned out to be water or something.

It was a weak videoblog entry. Telling how their talking points have fallen back to CR and trying to put emphasis Craig "is a real man" . Instead of, oh I don't know say a slightly gay looking male model.bjmdds wrote:http://i2.cdnds.net/12/08/618x461/skyfa ... _dench.jpg New Dench picture released on the set of Chicken Little's The Sky Is Falling. As off his meds as MGW may be he understood they do not go back to CR. It is easy to say anything is better than CR as CR was not all that good -even Danno thought CR was a bit of rubbish (although he was pleased with the fawning coverage). It certainly wasn't Bond and this is the feel most people who even liked CR felt because they would ask questions like "when is Bond going to be Bond again". It is very late in the game to be tying to define your actors Bond and big mistake to link his Bond to his first outing that did not define the him in the character.
I love what one of the first reviewers said about CR, it was along the lines of "this isn't James Bond, it Jason Bourne in 20 years."
CR established the reboot Bond as a thug and incompetent man of action, if this is what Craig and Mendes think a Bond movie should be they are forgetting everyone was promising the fans a Classic Bond Adventure, not CR revisited.
Actually the real problem is Danny and Sammy think LALD is a good example of a Bond movie. It was a friggin blaxploitation film.

I'm just sorry that everything that was stated there (which wasn't much) confirmed each and every one of our fears about this. Ohwell, tant pis as the French say. I'm quite convinced if they keep on going this way, the box office is going to be their wake-up call. After the first weekend it will be a disaster.shi

I wonder what will be the fate of Abrams' Trek. Even though this reboot is done perfectly compared to the now corrupted Bond, there are still resistance within the Trek community.bjmdds wrote:Campbell started the reboot.........Forster wrecked it........Mendes will sink it...............with Cr-egg the driving force.

Trek cult is Shatner and Nimoy. Now to watch others play their younger counterparts in a past time is considered blasphemous FBF. Why didn't the Nimoy Spock time travel forward on the Enterprise, ala the Voyage Home, to stop Nero from going back in time?
