The above numbers are not the millions, but the ratings numbers (1 point equals more than just a million viewers.). These are the preliminary numbers, from futoncritic.com (only ones who are always precise with this stuff)NBC’s post-game attraction, the second-season premiere of The Voice, averaged a 19.4/33. That was up 27% in the metered-market households from last year’s special episode of Glee after the Super Bowl on Fox but below the last time a reality series aired after the big game, CBS’ Undercover Boss (22.5/36), in 2010. The Voice benefited from an earlier start time — 10:15 PM vs. 10:39 PM for Glee last year. Obviously, with the Super Bowl as a lead-in, The Voice was way up from its series premiere last year, by 159%
The Voice kicked Idol's butt. (let alone the X Factor). We'll see how it goes tonight. If they retain 20 millions out of those 30, it'll be GREAT.Primetime coverage of "Super Bowl XLVI" (100.89 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 37.0, #1) shot NBC (85.35 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 32.0, #1) to the top spot on Sunday. Following the championship were the "Super Bowl XLVI Post-Game" (94.74 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 35.7, #2), "Super Bowl XLVI Post-Game/The Voice" (53.27 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 21.6, #3) and "The Voice" (30.28 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 13.3, #4).

Chief of Staff, 007's gone round the bend. Says someone's been trying to feed him a poisoned banana. Fellow's lost his nerve. Been in the hospital too long. Better call him home.
At this point Cavill is over kill Bruce Willis looks more like Bond there. Craig looks like he is gearing up for some German Hamlet play.Alessandra wrote:

They must have a sense of humour there. On their homepage, that is
I can't think it's coincidental. "Look at these two posters: one is for Cavill's upcoming action movie, the other is for the new James Bond. Oh wait, we may have gotten confused here, because this dude in "The Cold Light of Day" sure looks a HELL lot more like Bond ,even in a t-shirt, than this old unattractive dude in the other poster." Seriously, take a look, how would anyone NOT say that Cavill is the one looking like Bond as opposed to the other one who looks like an old angry dude?

Placing those posters side by side was NO coincidence. Something is up behind the scenes. Eon would NEVER allow Cavill's presence to be placed side by side with their creation UNLESS they want Cavill to be introduced into the minds of people NOW, knowing full well DC is one and done now as "Jimmy" Bond. The green menace is very protective of her creation and this was a deliberate happening. That contrast is so stark it is an embarrassment for Eon.Alessandra wrote:I'm waiting for editor to get back to me on SuperBowl and soccer stories, so no time for me to be tired LOL I'm used to this insane timetable, though today it is particularly insane. Congrats to the Giants of course, but I still think the Pats are the best.

Gisele is right. Other than the fact I can't even fathom the thought of the incredible rudeness and poor taste of rival fans going after her and commenting negatively on her husband's performance, I made her SAME exact comment this morning as I was explaining to my mother what had happened during the game and said "Brady made miracles basically but he can't throw the ball AND catch it too! those receivers dropped FOUR freaking balls. FOUR!" Brady sure as hell delivered, but he's not Jesus LOL he can't throw and catch!bjmdds wrote:http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/gise ... lvi-020612 Gisele is quite upset. Idol is in BIG trouble now as Ale promotes HER VOICE“THE VOICE” DELIVERS HUGE NUMBERS: The season two premiere of “The Voice” that followed the Super Bowl averaged a 16.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 37.6 million viewers overall, making it the highest-rated entertainment program in 18-49 in six years, since ABC's “Grey's Anatomy” post-Super Bowl telecast on February 5, 2006 (16.5). "The Voice" is up versus last year's post-Super Bowl telecast of "Glee" by 47 percent in 18-49 (16.3 vs. 11.1) and up one percent versus the 2010 post-Super Bowl telecast of "Undercover Boss" (16.3 vs. 16.2)."
We need Mazer's contribution too about this, but I really don't think this is a coincidence, especially considering it's promotion time for those movies and like you said, EON would have asked for different placement if they didn't want the comparison to be there under everyone's eyes... and it's clear the comparison is ALL in favor of Mr Cavill. I am unsure whether EON themselves allowed it or whether, more likely, they were OBLIGED to allow it because MGM and Sony wanted it this way... One thing is for sure, if they hadn't wanted this, it would have been removed super quick, or it wouldn't have happened in the first place. Can't be a coincidence, frankly. Of ALL things, they put Henry Cavill holding a gun for his new movie and Bond one next to the other? Seriously, no way.Placing those posters side by side was NO coincidence. It's true that Cold Light of Day would be a good Bond title... and LOL you're right, considering what we're dealing with now, all these are preferable options to the current casting. (not that I have anything against Ralph Fiennes, great actor, and he'd be good as M with Cavill as Bond.. but not with CRAIG as Bond. Not enough age difference not to mention he's WAY more attractive than Craig and there is no way M can be more attractive than Bond! Seriously! If the Cold light of Day were a Bond film , it sounds like one, it wouldn't be a great poster but a good one to tease the next one, Willis as Blofeld, Cavell as Bond, Weaver as M

I'm hoping to see this on the opening night. Compare to DC's Bonds, TPM is pure escapism.Omega wrote:[BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... GN3UHkqMA0[/BBvideo]

Star Wars trailer from last night. A lot or re-release coming out this year.

bjmdds wrote:Maybe Cr-egg's Bond falls in love with Fiennes M, and he dresses up in drag, and they get married and live happily ever after...........then Bond 24 comes out, with the misnomer that the previous 3 Bond films were to be deemed a bad dream that Moneypenny had while eating tainted curry at a local restaurant and she hallucinated the 3 poor films and that was the result.........Bond 24 would then pick up right after the DAD storyline.........

Now that editors are done making me waste time, I can sleep. And meantime I also promoted Smash so you know... Bond girl multitasking. I am not called Pam Bouvier without reason!bjmdds wrote:When do you sleep? It's 5:30am in Italy.![]()

You need your shut eye too you know.

Right now the average Hollywood studio’s marketing spend on a blockbuster is $70+M domestic and at least that for international. Some studios have been known to spend $200+M globally like when Sony Pictures introduced its new Bond, Daniel Craig. So adding another $50M is both a marketing bonanza and branding booster. Specifically, Battleship‘s promotional partners include Coke Zero which has planned the largest global packaging promotion in its history as well as TV ad campaign. Also Cisco which has made its first-ever film partnership with Battleship. Subway has a large TV campaign and in-store promotion with the movie, and Kraft, Nestle, and Chevron are on board as well. Also both the U.S. Navy (whose actual sailors were used as extras) and the USO are using the movie to promote themselves.
And best of all, The Woman in Black only had a $13 million production budget. Expect it to go into profit by its second weekend. Actuals are now in, and it had a North American opening weekend gross of $20,874,072. And it hasn't even opened outside the US and Canada yet.FormerBondFan wrote:Potter VS DC's Bond. Potter WINS!
