I should correct what I said earlier: in 2011 Sony didn't break 150m (before P&A), MIB:III (2012) is at least 200m proving to be the exception rather than the rule. Then if MIB is a hit or not the profit is Sony's alone.bjmdds wrote:Tattoo out over 7 weeks in the USA and it is STILL UNDER $100 million in box office salesMazer Rackham wrote:Sony is in trouble. Sony won't be happy with Cr-egg's result either. They might get out of the Bond business altogether. Can Eon stand alone with MGM Q?
BJ we'll see if Sony follows through on the TGWTDT sequels, a lot of egg on their face if they drop the ball.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
"Still, the industry sometimes forgets that Pascal isn't just involved with movies: She has the distinction of being the only female film company co-chair who also oversees a television division, Sony Pictures TV, whose most valuable properties include Breaking Bad and The Big C. And Sony has more than two dozen television shows on the air in primetime, syndication and cable, which translates to about a billion viewers in more than 150 countries, and a robust digital business with Imageworks and Sony Pictures Animation. But movies remain her great love and 2012 is looking good, with another James Bond movie, the 3D Men in Black III, a new Total Recall and the still-untitled Kathryn Bigelow project about the hunt for Osama bin Laden, along with Spider-Man. The seasoned Pascal, 53, has seen it all: She has been in a senior position at Sony since the 1980s and was appointed co-chair in 2006. She also has had stints at 20th Century Fox and Turner Pictures and is remarkable for having survived at the top in a business not known for executive longevity." Pascal is another HUGE part of the Bond problem. Amy http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/sites/ ... _p_194.jpg and Boar-bara http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... n_edit.jpg have teamed up to emasculate James Bond and turn him into an ugly, homeless bum.

This Daniel Craig as Bond thing is beyond a joke now. It makes me so angry to see yet another Bond film completely ruined.
Skyfall sounds cut-price and tedious and Craig looks awful: what an insult to call it the "23rd Bond film".
Can we please have a real James Bond and a real Bond film again after they have finished producing this latest dreadful Craig era rubbish?

" Person Of Interest had a series "high" 3.3 adults 18-49, up a tenth vs. a 3.2 rating two weeks ago. American Idol drew a season "low" 5.4 adults 18-49 rating in its full hour, down a tenth vs. a 5.5 rating last Thursday." Where's Ale? Viewing MI:4 I hope amongst her snowy weather. Glad to see Capt. Arthurs posting again
I wonder if,given the ratings, they're going to continue doing American Idol? Why do a show like that when nobody is watching?(sounds familiar, no?

Idol cannot top 18 million now MP. It did 26 million last year on average I think. The Voice will beat Idol after the Superbowl I think this Sunday night. MP, seeing MI:4 this weekend?
