Yeah but all this mentioning of DC's third corrupted Bond aiming to get nominated by the Oscars is just utter madness. If this is Babs' idea, you may as well have that man or Carrot Top or The Blue Man Group as Bond. Speaking of the Oscars, I hope there's enough movies out there to make DC's third virus to be COMPLETELY forgotten, and when I say forgotten, I MEANT no nominations.
It's not all this mentioning. It's ALWAYS the SAME recycled article. It has been mentioned once, and people keep repeating it, that's all there is to it. Not to mention, it's COMPLETELY pointless to talk about Oscars for next year NOW, because nobody knows which movies will be out and what they will be like or how the Academy will evaluate them. We still have to have THIS year's Oscars so it's completely pointless to start talking about next year's now. And in any event, the more, especially on here, people keep mentioning this, the more useless attention is given to this detail. The best thing to do is to ignore this completely and not to mention it at all. It's not something that's bound to happen. There is no way an action movie and especially NOT a James Bond one gets nominations for something that isn't special effects or sound mixing or something. And if they did in that category, WHO CARES. (they still won't, but just saying). And in any case there are HUNDREDS of movies during a year that all have a WAY more Oscar-appropriate cast, script writer, director and whatnot than a Bond movie. It's absolutely pointless to talk about it in the first place (you're doing them a FAVOUR by advertising this all the time, talking about it constantly) and in any case it makes no sense to talk about it now. So, up until nominations time for the NEXT round, we all should give this a rest. We're only bringing it to people's attention by talking about it.

Blowfeld it's fine I was joking, but that super ugly face twice in a row in the same page is a bit much! LOL

In any case, THIS is what (true) Bond fans should be watching... seeing he who actually is perfect for Bond in action as an average Joe for his next movie. And even so, Henry Cavill kicks some MAJOR ass.

http://movies.yahoo.com/video/ymovies-6 ... 81185.html

(I'd like to point out how he, not playing a secret agent but someone who's not supposed to be good at handling weapons, looks much more at ease and believable handling a gun than Craig does, but I'll leave that to the gentlemen )

LOL Capt, that is right!

About the Oscars I know there is that rumour and I get FBF's passion about this I really do. I do not think they will get any 'real' consideration no matter what they do. Mugging for an award it the surest way not to get one, Daniel going on and on about the rare air he is breathing is rubbish too. Pretentious award grabbing is not going to win them any fans, and the competition will be tough (I believe). Plenty of good movies coming out who we can wholeheartedly support.

They sent QoS off to the Oscars for consideration (a suicide mission), no idea why they did this since by the time they did it was universally acknowledged tripe.

You know even if the worst did come to the worst and they won something for whatever category it changes nothing, as a life long 007 fan or a contributor to these efforts. I love the world of 007, the book and movies, until now I had respected the men who played him and the producers to a lesser extent.

Exactly. Even if (and it won't happen anyway) they won something, it would change precious nothing. And all this talking about it is just garnering them free publicity on the matter, while obtaining absolutely nothing but possibly the contrary, and not desired, effect. It's way too soon to even mention it anyway.

What became of Satsuki? You hear zero now about her. I am sure she was hushed up with a payoff by the green vegetable. For example, "In 2007, after missing out on a Bafta for his role as the secret agent in Casino Royale, he was reported to be ‘incandescent with rage’ when a gay journalist complimented him on the skimpy blue swimming trunks he wore in the film. His then-girlfriend Miss Mitchell was said to have led him away from the encounter at an after-show party in London’s Grosvenor House hotel before punches were thrown."

She wasn't so keen on being in the public eye at all. So I'm quite sure she's happily staying away from all the fuss. So, what did you think of Cavill's new movie trailer, BJ?

Very good. He's establishing himself at a higher entry level than DC for entry into Bond. Will the idiots at Eon resent the fact that THEY did not discover him? I will bet you it would bother Boar-bara, but Sony could care less for all they want is a successful film, not another DC bomb.

Correct. While Sony and MGM care about business (MGM especially at this point since they truly can't afford to fail), the green one is just all about herself and her manias (or else we would have had Henry Cavill in the part ever since CR). I think she will stick with "oh but we did discover him" since after all he was the last man standing against Craig for CR. Too bad the reply is "yeah and you gave the part to someone who not only didn't look like Bond at all, but also gave you the 1st Bond movie that lost money in the history of the franchise." I don't think the woman even knows the word "mistake" applies to her as well.

THIS time SONY and MGM will have the FINAL say about casting the 7th 007, NOT EON. You know greeny will be irate about this and threaten them. Who will finally shut her up? Do you think they can replace this new Q kid with an older one the very next film? This Q is NOT a good choice either and NO governmental secret service would ever allow such an immature person to head such a prestigious branch. How do we solve this problem?

I'm unsure about that but I think the usual word will do it: reboot. If, as common sense and business sense most of all suggest, they change the lead actor for the next one and pick an actually fitting one for the role (and WAY younger than Craig) then I think all the rest will just be forgotten as well. They'd also have to bring back Fiennes as M and I don't even know if he's in it for the long haul (there's been no mention of that). I think if things go the way they seem to be headed (with this being a disaster, that is) that they'll just re-do everything from scratch, Q included. If not, I guess a younger actor wouldn't look as ridiculous as Craig does with this young boy playing Q. Fiennes can fit in no problem, he's a good actor. I don't think he's an ideal choice for M but maybe I'll be convinced when I see him on screen.

I honestly don't know what would solve this mess after it's been done, but I know we need to wait and see what this is like. Granted, what we're hearing is absolutely no good but you never know. Maybe the young dude will be a hit and Fiennes will be a miss, that's what I mean. Once things are on film, we can see who of these new people would fit in as the franchise goes on (if greeny doesn't run it to the ground with Skyfall, that is.)

Fiennes is not an M type and he will never relegate himself to a minor supporting role like that. The very concept of us having to MEET    Q now for the first time after seeing him in all of the other films is as comical as Boar-bara saying "doing book 1 as film 21 makes no sense, but it's fun."   That statement by her irks me to this day. It's obvious why Mendes was brought in. We can see by the supporting cast what the main purpose of this film is all about (the FBF effect). What Ms. B does not realize YET is that attempting to turn a Bond film into a Gone With The Wind Hollywood classic will never work and her dream to be recognized by her peers as a creative film studies woman of the 21st century will be futile. It's all out there now. There is no hiding her motives. Her casting couch crony will digress again in Bond 23. This is quite a mess she has created.

We know movies like The Dark Knight Rises, The Hobbit, The Avengers, John Carter, Les Misérables, and World War Z will get an Oscar attention. I just hope there are movies out there to make DC's third virus completely forgotten.

MI:4 is doing great business and it will be hard for Cr-egg's film to come close to this next year. Has everyone seen it?

When it comes to women, Pierce is a total opposite of DC. His wife Keely may not be the best shape as she was in the past, but at least he stays faithful to her for what she is.
