Haywire has good reviews and Underworld has better reviews than Red tails. I got a free ticket for Underworld 4 don't know if I'll go.

Lucas has once again turned to the Dark Side. What happen to this once a great filmmaker?

Tattoo will drop in the standings again this weekend with the new releases. Kate "Serendipity" Beckinsale is in Underworld. She should be in a Bond film with Hugh.

A friend of mine went to see Haywire and said it was horrible :)) Guess she's going against the tide (I've never really discussed movies with her so I really don't know whether I should take her opinion seriously or not :)) ). I am never glad when movies bomb, there's business behind it and it's not good regardless. Which is why I'd never think of Craig as the leading man... but that's me. I don't understand why such an obvious character actor is being shoved down people's throats as a leading man when he could do just what he's capable to do. Use him as the villain, as the peculiar character, as that edgy dark type that co-stars... but not as the leading man. He isn't one, he doesn't behave like one either on screen or when interviewed. Because that's not who he is! He is a character actor, which is by all means great and something that is NEEDED in movies. But make him do what he's capable to do. This is what I will never understand. (of course most of the leading man stuff is due to the fact Barbara Broccoli sees him in a certain light, but still... why would others even consider? Other than GWTDT, which I think was part of the deal when they hired him for CR, so that was a given. But Cowboys & Aliens? even Tin Tin although he is not a primary element there, but still. WHY are those who aren't Babs doing this is beyond me.

Correctamundo Ms. Bouvier :!: :!: :!: :!: THAT is the multi-million dollar question. WHY? It seems the horny green vegetable has exerted the Imperious curse on Pascal and Spielberg, right FBF? How much longer can this go on? Ale, you know your film studies onions. Over your entire career in the entertainment field, have you EVER seen an actor who REPEATEDLY BOMBS his studio's films get rehired like this? FBF may be correct. Treachery at Hogwarts might be behind this farce.

I saw Haywire and loved it, M Fassbender with Dark hair would be a brilliant Bond.

At least Mike F has a handsome look, and he's more Bond than DC will ever be. But if I want a 7th Bond, that person should be born in the 80s.....someone young enough to do 10 films, and Henry fits the bill. Once he's in, all three corrupted Bonds starring DC should be removed from the Bond canon. It would be even if someone other than the B1tch to take charge. Hopefully, Bond 23: Nothing Special will be bad enough (both criticially and financially) to remove not only DC but also the B1tch and her regime.

I do not think there can be any question Daniel's '007' will be relegated to that of a one off series. If only for the simple fact his Neander-Bond is unsustainable. When the series rebooted Eon attempted to convince us all nothing changed when it did, greatly so, unrecognisable so. More importantly it determined the previous 40 years and 20 movies were the classic era, a golden age if you will. Some of our 'friends' would argue this movie or that movie are not what they consider classic however the fact the all are rooted to the same ancestor cell as the first frame of Dr No in 1962 gave them a familial relationship cosseting them in the protection of a classic. They do not all have to be cinematic gems only represent what was a mind set, a way of making movies that continued until Barbara had no one looking over her shoulder.

Celebrating 50 years of a icon when we have not seen a true Bond movie in 10 years, the irony it's not lost on me. I believe the more people look back the more they are going to wonder how the hell the dreck currently churned out by Eon is considered worth of Ian Fleming, Cubby or Harry who all worked together to cultivate the first 007 films.

Bond ended in 2002 because Barbara Broccoli hated that series and wanted to change it with some bizarre reboot with Daniel Craig. It is a bit cheeky to then put Craig and the current dreadful film they are cobbling together at the moment at the forefront of the "50 years of Bond films" celebrations.
Bring back Bond!

It would be fantastic if Skyfail was the last Craig Bond Film, Then we could look at them a s a strange
Trilogy ( An experiement ) Then get Back to making what they'd been doing very Successfully since 62.
But sadly I think ( for me at least ) My interest in Bond will wain for several years until they get
"Another Fella" in to play the part, or get back to making Bond Films.
Babs and Michael are Basking in the glory of Cubby, He was the one who made the series a Hit, they
on the other hand will kill it off. If they're not careful.

Even more fantastic if Bond 23: Nothing Special fails miserably both critically and financially.

Tattoo dropped to 11th place yesterday. Thirty one full days released in the USA and under $100 million returned in box office numbers. Sony/MGM might have laid down the law to Eon after seeing the dismal box office returns DC extracted his last 3 films and reduced their investment in SPITEFUL. If they are going cheap on DC, they should have eaten his contract and spent the time invigorating the franchise with Jackman for now. Clueless people all around. More wasted time, which is a precious commodity in life :!:

Straight from the NY Daily News: "Remember 'The Adventures of Pluto Nash'? 'From Justin to Kelly'? 'Battlefield Earth'? Neither do we. Sometimes, movies are surrounded by so much media buildup before their release, and then - womp, womp, womp - they just can't live up to the hype ... 'THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO,' 2011: In 2011, You couldn't go anywhere without hearing about the Daniel Craig/Rooney Mara remake based on the high-successful Swedish version. Sadly, not even Mara's nipple piercing for the role could entice audiences to shell out $13.50."

This is unbelievable. Didn't Eon screen test this one? She will be Moneypenny? :!: Where's Ms. Bouvier? What's going on here? "According to reports, Naomie Harris, who is set to play Miss Moneypenny in the new movie, was told she had to change her voice to play the role in a sexier manner. A source said: 'She has to lower her voice on camera because she has a very high-pitched girly tone. Naomie needs to sound husky, sexy and more womanly.'
