Girl With the Dragon Tattoo looks like it might have a decent opening.
2. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Sony) [2,914 Theaters]
NEW: Debuted at 7 PM Tuesday December 20; Officially opened Wednesday December 21
Tuesday $1.6M, Wednesday $5.7M
Tintin and MI:4 in my opinion will do better because the are more general audience kind of films. Maybe just maybe Daniel will not crash and Burn another potential franchise. I should mention that the early number are part of a story at Deadline Hollywood talking about the concern over dropping attendance.

Sherlock and Mi4 are on my to see list. I read a few reviews of Tattoo panning Craig for having no sexual chemistry with Rooney Mara. She is damned cute most of the time WTF?!

Best of the MIs. Out of the two James Bonds (Sherlock 2and MI4), MI4 is the best. Great is what I would describe MI4.

Craig wasn't boring. I think they could have cast a Swedish actor in his role( Stellan Skarsgard come right to mind-he played Martin though)

Actually Craig does look quite Swedish. He looks probably more Scandinavian than British.

How was the film katied? One of Fincher's best? I'm planning on seeing this at the cinema.

GWTDT was well worth the price of admission. I liked that they didn't stray too far from the original movie(and the book) with only a couple of exceptions.

Tattoo down to $3 million Thursday already and 4th place, with Tin Tin going nowhere in 5th. Tattoo cost $90-100 million without P&A. Factoring in P&A, how can this earn a profit with, if they are lucky, $30 million through Sunday? They need at least $250 million worldwide to break even? We all knew these results would happen here with Cr-egg's films. " Clocking in at 160 minutes and featuring an abundance of horrific imagery, the movie probably won't get off to a huge start, though it will likely end up in the mid-$30 million range by Monday. The Adventures of Tintin had a somewhat slow $2.3 million debut at 3,087 locations on Wednesday, and including previous grosses from French Canada the movie has so far made $5.6 million. The Steven Spielberg animated movie was always going to be a tough sell to U.S. audiences who are largely unfamiliar with the title character and have at least recently hesitated to attend motion capture animated movies, though with $237 million in overseas coin already collected it's unlikely the movie needs to be all that successful stateside anyway. With older adventure-craving audiences likely to head to Mission: Impossible or Sherlock Holmes and younger families seeking out Alvin and the Chipmunks and possibly We Bought a Zoo, Tintin is probably in line for no more than $20 million or so for the six-day weekend. "

And 5th place  on it's debut in the USA with weak grosses. "The much-publicized collaboration between producer Peter Jackson and Spielberg sets high expectations. But while the technical artistry is there, the film lacks a sense of magic, intrigue and mystery." (USA Today review)

Contributions to the Danielle Cr-egg wallet are not going to occur from me MP. Maybe FBF wants to give that film a try?

Danielle Cr-eggg: "I almost quit as James Bond". Actor says he considered walking away due to lengthy delays. "There was that long hiatus where Bond maybe wasn't happening. I'd got it into my head that if it went another two years on top of the two-year gap we'd already had, then they should probably find someone else. And I should think about getting on with things."
