Yeah. Might wanna hire a new costume designer as well. It’s been a busy week for Bond. Skyfall began principal photography in the UK on Monday 7th November. Helen McCrory and Ola Rapace have also been added to the cast. Skyfall is now very much underway.

And wait, is that Bond with Bond girls actually being WAY taller than them in heels? Yeah you guessed it.

By the way, Mr Cavill repeated during his Jay Leno interview that "Yeah, it was down to me and Daniel apparently" about getting the Bond role, so I really want to go hit the cruciferous vegetable HARD for this.

And one more:

Seriously. And he's at the Immortals premiere, so it's not like he's trying to be James Bond or anything. That's just how he is naturally. IMAGINE when he's actually channeling his inner James Bond. Let alone playing him on screen. UGH, I want to KILL BABS!!

This is the Look Bond should have. This (in general) represents the ideal Fleming had in mind, he would be horrified they turned his alter ego into a grunting stuntman with a perpetual scowl.Alessandra wrote:

As I said, it's the green vegetable's lusty arrogance that is ruining this for all. SHE must go
An Eon coup
must occur to oust the wench. The USA X-Factor results show tonight was unwatchable. The judges are dreadful and Paula Abdul was a joke. The ratings yesterday were UNDER 10 million viewers, finishing third, even behind Survivor. Cowell is so yesterday. A bomb. I spoke to others who agreed and they stopped watching it.

Cavill is great doing interviews it would be big change from the mumbling Craig, Craig seems uncomfortable being interviewed the few times I've seen it.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Just so we start setting things clear over WHO is successful at the box office... Early numbers:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/i ... ice-260656
So A) the movie has a VERY low budget cost after tax rebates ($75 mln) that means it will easily make the studio book a profit with box office gross. Not only, but it outdid Rise of the Planet of the Apes at midnight while being released in only 900 theaters as opposed to the others 1,024. AND B) it's expected to overperform because well, nobody could see this success.(wake up, but whatever). Which clearly (the overperforming I mean) is entirely due to Henry Cavill himself being cast as Superman and people checking him out (and make no mistake if Immortals was bad, it wouldn't keep getting the positive reviews it keeps getting, per the above). I am SO rooting for this to keep this trend. If the movie OVERperforms like it's doing now, you can stay assured Sony and MGM will closely follow the situation. And things might get VERY interesting.
And note: this is happening with an R-rated movie. I'm all
over this.
Box Office Report: Henry Cavill's 'Immortals' Slays $1.4 Million in Midnight Grosses
UPDATED: If fanboys continue to turn out in strong numbers, Relativity's fantasy action-epic could win the weekend crown over Adam Sandler's new comedy "Jack and Jill," which is in a close Friday race with family pic "Puss in Boots"
Relativity Media's R-rated action-epic Immortals, headlining Henry Cavill, grossed $1.4 million in midnight grosses from 900 theaters.
That narrowly bested the $1.3 million earned in 1,024 midnight runs by 20th Century Fox's The Rise of the Planet of the Apes in August, as well as the $700,000 earned by Battle: Los Angeles in its midnight debut. Today, Immortals movs into roughly 3,100 locations, and is likely to have a strong Friday.
Tracking suggests a $25 million to $26 million opening weekend for Immortals, but the film could overperform if fanboy turnout stays strong. So far, Immortals is leading the Friday race over Adam Sandler's new Thanskgiving family comedy Jack and Jill, which is in a close battle with thriving holdover Puss in Boots, from DreamWorks Animation and Paramount.
Very early returns show both Puss in Boots and Jack and Jill grossing in the low to mid 20 million range for the weekend.
[...] Ryan Kavanaugh's Relativity, which fully financed and produced Immortals, is counting on fanboys to buoy the violence-laced R-rated film, a fantasy adventure along the same lines as box office hit 300. Immortals, a key test for Relativity, cost $75 million to produce after tax rebates.
Immortals scored high marks in test screenings, and also stars Mickey Rourke, Stephen Dorff, Isabel Lucas, Kellan Lutz, Freida Pinto and Luke Evans. The pic opens day and date in a number of key territories, including China (through Relativity's co-venture with Skyland), Germany, Italy, the U.K., South Korea, Japan and South Korea.
Relativity insiders say Immortals only has to open to $25 million for the company to be on sound financial footing, since so much of the budget was financed through foreign presales.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
And to complete it, I just had a conversation with a guy in London who just went to see Immortals and he said he agrees completely that Henry Cavill is PERFECT to also be James Bond. This is what he said: "Coming out of IMMORTALS. Quick impressions: Henry Cavill is a great pick for Superman. Natural nobility, great at action." Needless to say I immediately told him that's why he'd be perfect as James Bond, and he agreed with me. He wants him later though (not because Craig fan but because he prefers a Bond around 40), so thinks he should do Superman for 10 years and then Bond. I countered he can do both at the same time and he agreed. Bottomline, people who go see even Immortals that's got nothing to do with Bond definitely see how good Cavill is and what a perfect fit he is for Bond. I'll personally deal with the cruciferous vegetable if this doesn't happen as soon as Craig is out the door.

I have to agree, I've just seen Immortals and Cavill is terific in it, The Bond producers should Hang their heads in shame for Passing up the chance. I doubt he'll play Bond as By the time Craig leaves Cavill will be a Big star ( They can't afford) and Craig will of tarnished the series so much no Talented actor would want the role.

I dont think ive seen Henry Cavill in a movie, but by posts here from fellow members, it looks like he is a very good candidate as a future Bond........the thing though is that it could be quite a long time as Babs, really wants to keep Craig as long as possible. Anyway does Babs like Cavill?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
LOL EA, Craig is done regardless after Bond 23. You'll see. And Henry Cavill (and he repeated this himself during his intervie with Jay Leno on Monday) was the last man standing against Craig when CR was filmed, and the script was written with HIM in mind, not Craig. In fact, Campbell was convinced he would have filmed the movie with Cavill, not Craig who was picked last minute over Cavill. So whether Babs likes him or not, it's clear quite a few people at EON do like him. And, most importantly, both Sony and MGM like him. You should watch "The Tudors" if you like historical dramas.. it'll give you a good idea of how well he can act and of how he's definitely got the Bond factor.English Agent wrote:I dont think ive seen Henry Cavill in a movie, but by posts here from fellow members, it looks like he is a very good candidate as a future Bond........the thing though is that it could be quite a long time as Babs, really wants to keep Craig as long as possible. I would have gone tonight but couldn't so will have to wait until tomorrow. I'm super glad you thought he was terrific in it!I have to agree, I've just seen Immortals and Cavill is terific in it, The Bond producers should Hang their heads in shame for Passing up the chance. I doubt he'll play Bond as By the time Craig leaves Cavill will be a Big star ( They can't afford) and Craig will of tarnished the series so much no Talented actor would want the role.

It all depends when things happen. Henry has said repeatedly and again that he'd LOVE to play Bond if he was offered the chance again (last time a few weeks ago when talking about Superman), and he is REALLY into Bond as a whole, he loves Fleming and whatnot. So, he will be up for it, that is not a problem. The problem is timing of course... but again, I think that press conference induced many to wrongly believe Craig is going to stick around for a long time. He is not going to. Unless Bond 23 delivers sensational box office gross, which I frankly can't see happening.
And sure as hell they should hang their heads in shame for passing up the chance to have Henry play a rookie Bond (AS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE) in CR, especially given WHO they picked over him. I'm just glad that, on top of Immortals exceeding expectations at the box office, even those who say the film is nothing special ALL say Cavill is the best thing in the movie and he's great in it. Take that, Babs, you blind woman.

Forget about Le Chiffre and Quantum. There has been only one TRUE villain in Bond 21, 22, and soon to be 23................BOAR-bara the green pigheaded vegetable
It's all over for now. She does not care about the franchise succeeding. I truly believe she is bored of it and wants it put to rest HER way, by continuing her sick romantic comedy of errors with this bovine brawler as an uncouth, low class, Bond.
