What is this new reddish pin these Hollywooders are wearing now? It's on DC's left side on his jacket.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
"There's lots of surprises," said Mendes, who won an Academy Award for his 1999 film "American Beauty."
"I think this has all the elements of a classic Bond movie, including - to quell any rumors - a lot of action," Mendes said.
Some have questioned the choice of Mendes, best known for his stage work and emotionally intense dramas like "Revolutionary Road" and "The Road to Perdition."
But he and the producers said they did not plan to take the series in a radically new direction.
Producer Michael G. Wilson said the series had "started down a path" with Craig's first appearance as a gruff, muscular Bond in "Casino Royale" in 2006.
"And we're sticking to that path," Wilson said. "An interesting story, well written, with a great cast and plenty of action."
Mendes said action movies were "a world that's new to me, and I've embraced it."
"The action needs to coexist with the drama, and that's the balance we've got to strike," he said.

Of the plot, they revealed only that "Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her" and MI6 comes under attack.
As for the meaning of the title, Broccoli said it "has some emotional resonance which will be revealed in the film."
Broccoli said the producers hoped Mendes would sign up for a second film, and "definitely" wanted Craig to return as Bond.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
As you can see from the all of the above statements by EON's two moronic heads, we are wasting our time even caring about this franchise. They are both clueless, artless, and pathetic as producers yet in THEIR world, they know better than us
With two perfect specimens of Bond out there in Jackman and Cavill, how can this charade continue? The Sky Is Falling MUST be a total bomb and lose millions or else this trash will perpetuate in perpetuity and I for one will have NO part of it. Cr-egg truly is getting more grotesque to look at. FBF, ring in Carrot Top.............you win
It's all over.
You were right in all of your prognostications
I salute you.

Given their track record with directors, that sounds like a triumph of hope over experience.bjmdds wrote: Broccoli said the producers hoped Mendes would sign up for a second film

The picture of Daniel and the Bond girls isn't a paedo thing, so much as it's just creepy. And the fact that(again) one of the Bond girls it aller than him is

They can never keep the directors that do a good job and are quick to praise who ever is the current flavour of the month. Marc Forster was simply smashing and did such a wonderful job he has to return for Bond 23, well this line of spiel didn't last long. Neither did the Quantum obsession, which makes QoS what precisely? Worse than nothing because they are not even trying to salvage the story by continuing it in the the next one hoping it will turn out better?Kristatos wrote:Given their track record with directors, that sounds like a triumph of hope over experience.bjmdds wrote: Broccoli said the producers hoped Mendes would sign up for a second film
The only aspect of this I am worrying over is Eon tanking Bond hard enough to truly the kill series. They are making the same empty promises of retuning to 'classic' Bond they made earlier only to make more dreck.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
FBF and I know the only way to avoid Carrot Top as Bond is to give the Avada Kedavra curse to The Sky Is Falling, as was done by Voldemort to HP. Once that was done, HP was resurrected and defeated Voldemort. Bond 23 MUST bomb in order for Bond to be resurrected with another actor. Ms. B looked arrogant at that press conference, which wasn't even a real one, and she is determined to keep her lust well known for her main man. She can surround her main man with all of the academy award nominated people she wants to, but putting him in a film with them will be like planting stinkweed in the garden of Eden. It just doesn't work

In response to the Bond 23 conference................well we didnt learn anything really new......it just confirmed everything we did know.
I noticed from the locations touted that India (as was presumed) was shut out...didnt know they would be filming in China...and no mention of South Africa though.
Its still too early to get an idea of how the film will turn out, but one pleasing issue from the list of technical people behind Bond 23, is that Eon are going back to the Bond crew who made Bond films prior to QOS........it looks like EON have learnt (hopefully), from their misguided Bourne influence in QOS....
hence there will be no shaky cam Dan Bradley action sequences, and fast edit cuts from those Forster editors.
Anyway, however Bond 23 turns out, at least it should be watchable........even Roger Moore said this week that QOS was like watching an incoherent commercial (or words to that effect).
One last point....DC needs to have a shave before filming, he looks like an old sea dog....cant have Bond looking like a scruff throughout this film, can we?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
It may be more watchable at this point it has to be looked at as a improvement. The story may still be a emotional dark mistake.
There is a rumor Craig is going to keep that scruff or a beard for the movie or most of it. They were filming yesterday so it safe to assume that is what he looked like.

Yeah, but at least we can now refer to it as Spyfail without thinking "will we have to come up with a new pun if the actual title turns out to be different"?English Agent wrote:In response to the Bond 23 conference................well we didnt learn anything really new......it just confirmed everything we did know.

I think the only reason they got Martin Campbell back for a second helping is that Cubby was still nominally in charge when Goldeneye was made, and may have reined in his spawn's prima donna tendencies a bit.Blowfeld wrote: They can never keep the directors that do a good job and are quick to praise who ever is the current flavour of the month.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Following on from the Bond 23 conference, there was obviously more news about Bond 23 in the newspapers today.
There was talk of trying to make the film as good as, or better than CR. (I notice that everyone almost gives QOS no mention)
There was a mention of a major car chase in the film.
There was also mention of DC's personal demands for the film.
In relation to DC, it was stated that he had to grow a full beard for the film (blimey)...Bond with a beard, what would Fleming think?........oh yeah Craig also mentioned he wants to continue playing Bond for the forseeable future. 'BJ' aint going to be amused!

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
What do you expect? They will never throw us a bone not to save their lives.Brosnan and Dalton thought they were coming back they only way the actors know for sure is if they decided when to leave.Craig making demands is ridiculous it only adds to the Broccoli infatuation theory.Babs Broccoli stopped making business decision and hired her lust interest the fact such a big deal is made over her lusting after Craig is a little sick.If her father had done business this way Bond wouldn't of made it past the first 4 movies.English Agent wrote:Following on from the Bond 23 conference, there was obviously more news about Bond 23 in the newspapers today.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
It's all over EA........throw in the towel........Carrot Top awaits..............the horny head of Eon STILL is enamored by Danielle, from PSA in drag through now
DONE
Her outburst at that press conference followed by the hibernating brother's admitted declaration of her desires, showed all that SHE is the culprit and everyone now knows why SHE hired him.
